Install a chrome plugin such as stylebot - https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/stylebot/oiaejidbmkiecgbjeifoejpgmdaleoha
From there open the options and add a new style for altyfans.co.uk. Copy and paste in full the contents of this page - http://www.altyfans.co.uk/Themes/red_theme_v2_2/css/index.css?RC4
Save.
This should then mean that the forum is at least forced to have some styling (even if the site is not back completely as expected)
Hardly fair to complain about a free service that is now kept alive by a bloke who has no interest in Alty due to not living in the area anymore. Pretty decent Gary even does that tbf.

I doubt they paid that much tbh and I doubt we'd get that much for Chris, but 200,000 is not beyond the realms of possibility.
I think your estimation of a fee for CCC is way over what could be achieved.
Josh Stokes went for near 300k in total, including a no wage loan back.
Richard Brodie went to Crawley for 275k nearly 15 years ago.
Fleetwood gave 150k for Vardy, then got 1m turning to ~1.7m in total.
Nathan Thomas went for 350k in 2017
Joe Lolley went for 350k in 2014
Our ticket prices have grown considerably since Brodie was sold for 275k showing the rate of inflation in a relative way (13 quid for those wondering http://www.altrinchamfc.co.uk/seas1011.htm).
500k is cheap.

Positive is to get op done and into recovery hopefully back for some preseason or early season games. Was unlucky this season with injury lay off. Due an upturn in fortune next season.Last season, Kossy didn't come back until preseason. Issac around our turn in fortunes in late Oct if I remember correctly.
ps Was it last season or the one before when he and Kossy were sidelined for a long time together?

It's all because the site doesn't have an SSL certificate. Chrome blocks insecure assets to protect you (unsecured files can possibly pass virus etc. Via middleman attack)
The solution starts there and probably also includes the cookie issue that makes the site think you aren't logged in even though you are still.
Again, I'm happy to help fix it if Gary wants me to.

« on: March 16, 2024, 09:13:57 AM »Anyone wondering why, might want to reference my post the other week regarding his mentally challenged father and the glee with which he posted after our loss to Dagenham.Clearly something's gone on behind the scenes for his departure to be announced in such a quiet manner - in normal circumstances I think we'd have given him a bit more of a send off.Not sure that a player who managed 1 season deserves a send off? That aside, I really hoped that as a local lad he’d do well for us. It just wasn’t to be. Hope he moves on and makes a success of it somewhere else. Not Macc of course though.
Ultimately he was nowhere near good enough - it's as simple as that, harsh as it may sound.
Good luck to him, hopefully he establishes himself a little further down the pyramid.
I was a fan of Ollie, I still maintain he needs some decent coaching on his weak spots and he's a NLN/NL keeper.
His dad needs to be told his son ain't the second coming of Peter shilton and He most certainly ain't no f**king Alfe Inge Haaland either.
We've removed a large bit of toxicity from the squad, that's almost as good as a new signing for morale.

sh*te. The lot of it today. I literally turned to my mate as we watched the game and I said "0-0 is the least Alty score ever" and boom a lad stood on our D was making his way up field to score.
We mustered nothing in attack and that is weird with the options we have up there.
If isaac is out we're fully f**ked because the other two options are the same player. Maxi fancy a game? I give him a chance of playing the Isaac role more than anyone else we have options on.
I still think there is a playoffs place for us, but I've stopped expecting results if we get there.

Not a fan of that tbh. 100% behind him for the next 3 games though.I thought Angus you played his role fairly well last night which was essentially being in CCC’s position but playing it defensively. Not an easy task
