The blue Robinsons Preservation kit is required for the staff vs supporters game on Saturday, yet it appears to have gone missing. If anyone knows of its whereabouts, please reply ASAP! Cheers

Altrincham FC First Team / Ladies in Action this Sunday

As well as the important game for the men at Kidderminster tomorrow, there is another important fixture for Alty this weekend.

The ladies are taking on Ellesmere Port this Sunday in an important league match, 2pm kick off at Mersey Valley.

The ladies are hoping for plenty of support so please do pop down if you can. There is a good bar where you can enjoy a drink while watching the game too!

How often does it happen that you meet someone who claims to play for Alty. Always makes me laugh to have someone claiming it, and when questioned about it, the response is invariably "yeah, I play for the reserves..." They never have an adequate response for "we don't have a reserve team." And about 1 in 5 people on the streets seem to have a mate who plays for us. "what's his name then?"   "errr, Sam O'Neil. He plays for the reserves!"

Altrincham FC are pleased to have signed Stalybridge Celtic midfielder Greg Wilkinson (dob 3 October 1989), who has been at the Bower Fold since February, 2008. Greg played for Celtic as recently as 5 October. In all he made 165 appearances and scored 17 times for Celtic. Whether he is available for tomorrow's game depends on whether his registration is confirmed in time.

I was asked to contribute an item for an international exhibition being held in an art gallery in Wellesley, MA, 10 minutes outside of Boston. Naturally, I decided to lend them an Alty item; last season's number 16 shirt signed by the entire squad. I went and had a look today and two guys, one from Iran the other from Haiti were interested in it and asked me all about the team. They were impressed that we had links with Manchester United and by us having a full international in James Lawrie. I was also asked if we played at Old Trafford!
