I dont think JM looks like a footballer, he looks like he is slouching all the time as though he just cant be bothered, there was one point in the first half where he could have ran top speed towards there goally and had a chance to get the ball but he just jogged and didnt commit, Chris Senior would have run like heck to get to the ball before the keeper.

I guess with no pressure GH is giving him a good trial now whilst it doesnt have a big impact on anything.

I played golf with a friend on Altrincham Municipal on Saturday afternoon, and...having recently moved to the area, he asked me how much it was to go and watch, as we could hear the crowd prior to the York game. He was quite noticeably shocked, when i delivered the "Roughly £14.00" news...
ts about us paying £15 each for a round at Alty, duly expected! :-D

Ha Ha, was it you and your mate I saw on the golf course as me and my two lads were dashing home accross the golf course just after the match - when two golfers asked what the score was and was it any good ? I'd have given a much more positive spin had I thought you could be pursuaded to the next game !!

Are midweek evening games still full price ? I am at home, getting the kids to bed and just heard the cheer as McAlaskey just scored, but I cant justify £17 for a midweek game?

P.S. Good call from the thread started with the offer of help!

Talking of advertising, marketing etc. I noticed the display case in Alty leisure centre still had last years fixture calendar still in - does anyone know who to pass this on to, perhaps get a current calendar put in and change the display around a bit to help people notice it again.

Also, Saturday mornings in there are quite busy with parents and kids going to various classes and swimming etc, how about setting up a table one Fri evening and Sat am to promote Alty FC, maybe with Rocky too and perhaps a voucher to get in for £5 or something?

We will have to be careful - at this rate we will have more kids than adults  ;)

Thanks guys for all the tips - I'll give the main stand a go - I guess I have to avoid the season ticket seats !

Strongbow - my favourite - I cant be doing with overpriced Magners.

Alty rock was sold out when I tried to get some at the Hayes & Yeading game - kids love the 20p bags of sweets, a bag of crisps and a can of pop at half time (Im sure thats the only reason they come!!)

Hi All,

I have been reading for a while so thought it time to join and post. I have started bringing my 2 boys to Alty matches, to lend my support to my local team and get them interested in football etc. I really want to see Alty prosper.

A few questions if I may :-

1. I assume from being surrounded by Wrexham fans on Sat that the family stand is shared by both teams - Alty were seriously outnumbered in this stand this week - is that normal - or should we have sat somewhere else ?

2a. We always use the snack bar and toilets in the away terrace but I'm sure the guy on the gate giving out the passes has a sigh everytime someone wants to go through the gate - should I be going anywhere else ??

2b. To get to the other end where the club shop is, are there any easy routes or do I have to go into the main stand, up accross and down ?

3a. Are kids allowed in the bar so I can perhaps sneak a pre match pint ? (And do I have to go the route of 2b!)

3b. Does the bar have cider on draught ?

4. It would have really annoyed me if Chris Senior ended up with a red for his lip to the officials - is he always like this - I remember his ban for fighting a couple of months ago when he waded in - a ban like that can only damage Altys chances with him off the pitch.
