What are the words to some of the most popular songs/chants? Me and the kids always sit in the main stand and can't work out what is sung, if I tell them the words they will join in - they already shout out like little gobsh*tes ! - rarly makes any sense though!

I lovd the "You fat B*stard" directed at Steve Evans the other week but didnt feel I should encourage the kids on that one for fear of the wife!!

Just watching the Smiths vs Wainwrights on BBC1 - stock car racing and noticed Go Goodwins and J Davidson are both sponsors.

The goodwins must be busy what with Alty fc, his sons karting and stock car racing !

I'd buy one, but thats because I cant make a season ticket pay because I wont get to the midweek games (got to get the kids in bed etc), but then I'd pay for the 10 games at full price week on week so little incentive for the club!

Where does Alty get its income and in what percentage for an average year - ie does gate receipts give 50%, sponsorship 30%, pie sales 5% etc.

I started going to Alty last season with 2 of my lads and we loved it, caught most home games.  I've never been much of a footy fan due to my dad not being bothered and this has been my first summer going cold turkey with no football. We went to see the Trafford friendly this week but didnt have a clue who was who but it still held their interest.

I keep trying to get them to bring their friends or encourage them to go but it does seem a hard battle. I'm just curious with the first question, e.g. if attendences doubled how much of a difference would it make.

I've just loaded up the car boot with the free topsoil that was advertised on the main website - thank you Alty FC !!

I am curious though as to where it all came from, I saw the pile a couple of weeks ago and it was huge then - its still pretty huge now !

Is there any pitch left to play on next season?
