That's very true. If I had to ask the management one question it would be about the tactics of the substitutions. When we limited the attacking options all that it meant was a siege at the other end.

I'd probably make a good Newcastle United fan. I'm happy to see us get the draw (ok happy isn't quite the word) despite chucking away a lead because of the way the team played. There's some real ability and grit in that team now. Until he went off Cahill was holding the ball up brilliantly and Jennings and Shotton are so cool and collected, and battlers. There was one fabulous piece of football in the second half where Robbie slid towards the touchline and hooked the ball back to James Jennings who played a super ball forward. We might be getting a bit spoiled. After four straight league defeats against York , we've drawn them home and away this season. That's a vast improvement.

The quoted figure of 1200 surprised me a bit. The Carole Nash & Family Arley Home & Away End was pretty full of Yorkies, whilst the Golf Road end was fuller for the second half than i've seen it for a while (apart from Boxing Day of course). Crowd was definitely boosted by the fact that other games were off today.

I couldn't see what was achieved by replacing Senior with O'Neill.

Spose it depends who you support.

The way it deceived the keeper I thought it had taken a deflection at first.

Second one was very sweet.

Up to that point the defence hadn't made a single mistake. All I could see from the other end was Stuart rushing to the side of the penalty area for a ball he never got to. When it came over the York man was totally unmarked. In fact their goals looked very similar to the two we got against Kidderminster.

"neither side will be happy with a point"

Oh yes we are - letting in two goals in two minutes withy 20 odd minutes to go but we didn't collapse and held on for a point.  A significant improvement on earlier in the season.

7 points from 12 this year is a good effort.

Well done Alty!
Good point BA.   Obviously disappointed that we let in 2 in 2 mins after being 2 up...but like you say, with 20 some minutes still to go you'd have thought we'd have probably ended up losing.   Certainly I think we would have before Christmas, so got to be happy with the point, we'd have all taken a draw at 3PM.

York had hatfuls of chances to win it but couldn't get it on target. Once they'd scored it was like they got a real shot of adrenaline and pressed on. Both goals they got looked they they found huge gaps to go through. On a heavy pitch it's not surprising Alty legs got tired. Cahill going off injured early looked like it might be bad as he had been holding up the ball beautifully but Colin Little got the goals so it didn't matter. We had the measure of them until they go the first goal but fitness told in the end. And fortunately York's missed chances. We get a point, everyone around us doesnt. Good result.
