Altrincham FC First Team / Re: FC Utd, a club on the up.

I didn't go yesterday on principle. I refuse to acknowledge their existence as a club in the same way that I dont recognise MK Dons. Starting a new club when things aren't going your way goes against everything I understand being a supporter of a club to be about.

Thanks Robbie for all the effort you have put in over the years, as fans we can't ask for more than that. I fully understand your reasons for going and hope you can have a few more good seasons elsewhere.

I feel sorry for GR and the rest of the board. They do a great job under difficult circumstances and yesterday was a chance to relieve a bit of pressure on the budget. They must feel totally let down by the players.

For me its Dave Gardner

How odd. There were many who were much much worse in that era. He also did his bit for the club and fundraisers off the pitch too.

It was based purely on his lack of commitment on the pitch and was not a comment on his ability or activities off the pitch

If memory serves me right I think we got 4 points from the first 8 games in our unbind winning season. 4 draws and 4 losses.

Totally agree. I thought the idea of supporting a club was that you follow them through good times and bad.

Give it a few years and we'll have AFCFCUM when the so called fans of FCUM take their ball home again when they don't like the way the club is being run.

I imagine it will surrender itself long before the winning post.

Touché my French colleagues!

I unclog my nose towards you, sons of a window-dresser, so, you think you could out-clever us French fellows with your silly knees-bent creeping about advancing behaviour. I wave my private parts at your aunties, you brightly-coloured, mealy-templed, cranberry-smelling, electric donkey-bottom biters.

Had Bellamy in his pocket yesterday. Just what we need, a steady head and a professional attitude just like our new management team.

Can't everyone see the obvious?

Since the invention of the premier league and sky its been a steady fall in the passion etc of footballers at the top level. This attitude has gradually moved down through the divisions to a degree where it is ruining football for us all. The current state of the england team is a direct result of the introduction of sky and the premier leaguge.

I have texted 5 live several times tonight to make my point but thay aren't allowed to be seen to slag sky off and so i've been ignored.

We could have the best manager in the world but if the passion isn't there in the players it won't be worth f all.

I don't usualy post on here but I can't help myself with recent goings on!

I think like most people the recent team selections and formations wouldn't have been my choice and results are showing that its not working but at the same time the few games I have managed to see this season I don't think we're playing bad football.

I honestly believe that a win on saturday (and I'm confident we will win) can change things around. It was always going to be a tough season and maybe its proving tougher than expected but with a bit of confidence we could go on a bit of a run and get out of this situation.

At the moment I'm still backing Graham and I reckon he'll turn it round given the chance.
