What I surmise may be the trip hazard at the Golf Road / Pop Side Junction has existed since I was Safety Officer.

The parlous state of Golf Road Terracing, in places, and the external wall, I would imagine may be related to the trees growing between the two and regularly cut back, possibly at the behest of the Highways Inspectors

They actually played well

Yes we were quite abject but they defended very vigorously and never really let our players control the ball  get their heads up...anything really.
The Gateshead fitness levels were exceptional

Just become aware that Eddy Hussin Snr, father of former Alty Captain Eddie Hussin Jnr and FIFA  Assistant Referee Ian has passed away.

Ed was a regular visitor to Moss Lane when Eddie was playing and also as Ian was progressing his refereeing career.

A really nice man, a proper gent and someone who gave a lot to the game and Refereeing in particular
