I thought he had an excellent game yesterday. I think he has improved a lot as a referee since we first encountered him a couple of years ago. He is probably going to be promoted to the Football League judging on his performances this season.

Had an excellent 2-1 win against Crewe Alex yesterday. Crewe had previously scored 34 goals and conceded only 1 goal in winning their first 5 games of the season. But an excellent team performance from Alty with goals from Tracey Blanchard-Webb and 91st minute winner from Nat Thornley sealed a victory which puts them 4th place, 3 pts behind the leaders Warrington Wolverines.

Congratulations to Cheadle Hulme  School, captained by Duncan Watmore, who today won the Barry Burns Northern Eight's Tournament held at the Kings School, Chester. They qualified for the Final by finishing top of the group which contained Birkdale, Bolton, Grange(Northwich), Wolverhampton GS and the defending Champions Manchester GS. They then beat Bury GS 3-2 in the semi-final. The Final saw them beat Repton 1-0 in the Final.

The Vics are set to be deducted 3 points for an administrative error when signing Tom Field. Apparently it was putting down his nationality as British instead of English.  ;D

Altrincham FC First Team / No Points Deduction for the Vics

Apparently in the Evo-Stick League failing to fulfill a fixture doesn't warrant a points deduction. The V*cs have escaped with a £500 fine with another £1000 suspended fine for failing to fulfill the fixture against Kendal at the start of the season. I wonder what percentage of the fine will they get away with paying? The sooner this club is closed down the better.

According to the FA. County Cups are not counted for first team matches for suspension purposes, as they seem to be counted as reserve games. If that is the case then how can these matches be allowed to be played causing a postponement of a first team game?
