Altrincham FC First Team / Good Luck today lads ...

Of out to the game in a few minutes (going for a meal on the way!) so just to say,

Come on you Super Robins - three points today and a goal for Joe will be just what the Doctor ordered!

Altrincham FC First Team / Crawley predictions ... ?
« on: November 15, 2006, 01:41:47 PM »
I've got a horrible feeling about this one. It's unlike me to be pessimistic, but I can see a high-scoring draw here.
Possibly 2-2

I'm actually more confident about getting something at Grays but six points in the four games running up to Christmas would be OK by me.

Altrincham FC First Team / 'Hidden' users ...

I'm probably showing my ignorance, but sometimes when I log on I see something like "9 guests, 2 users (1 hidden)"

What's all that about?

Does it mean that there are some Alty 'users' who wish to conceal the fact that they're on the Alty forum? I find that difficult to believe.

Could anyone kindly enlighten me?

Altrincham FC First Team / New NLP format
« on: November 14, 2006, 02:22:29 PM »
I've just, today, been able to get the first edition of the new format.

10p more and a full 'League paper' to throw away!

How can doing it this way stave off the financial mire they seem to have found themselves in?

I suppose the ideal situation would be to find a neighbour who used to read the League paper and buy one between you rather than pulling out the NL 'supplement' and throwing the rest away.

I can only see this making financial sense if the NL section drops radically from the 64 pages today doiwn to about 16 - but then would you pay £1.50 for such a return?

Am I missing something?

Altrincham FC First Team / Very Quiet ...

... on here for the last day or two!

Are we all bracing ourselves for a big push this weekend?

I quite fancy us for a (very) rare away win.
