What an absolute moron. As if killing someone previously wasn’t enough after driving like an imbecile he now also drinks and drives.

To add we were class second half.
Moult has gone onto a new level.
The direct attacking football was unreal.
This is the best football I've seen us since the McKenna and Showler days without doubt.

Really? I’d to think the 94-95 season is up there

2-2 for me

....from his not especially distinguished playing days with Altrincham FC circa 1995/96.

He has become the new executive chairman at Wigan Athletic:

His academical credentials are certainly at polar opposites to that of his skill on the football pitch

I'll be in attendance. Certainly expect the 4 signed youth players to feature.

Antony Griffith! Someone to vent my spleen at

Give the turd some grief pal.

Absolute sh*thouse that guy.

We were watching a striker, north west based as I know the players brother. I won’t name him or the club but he’s quite prolific a few leagues down. It was his birthday a few weeks ago and he got concussed while out so hasn’t been playing. He would be someone I’d like the look of as he’s still young. Newport County have also had scouts watching him

I’ve decided to try the train for a change, getting the wife to drive me to Preston. I’ll be on the 12:08 from Crewe

The yellow to Hulme as it was was extremely harsh as he shouted “our ball” it was unfortunate he’d just been warned about his attitude to the liner. Although he picks up numerous yellows I certainly wouldn’t want him to tone down his agression!

It would obviously be better to start with proper full backs in their proper positions if we can. But I wouldn’t rush anyone back on Thursday before they are ready, for what will likely be the easiest of the 3 quickfire away games. Albeit all against teams in poor form.
I must admit I think Lancaster may be the hardest of the three.....I seem to think our record there is less than inspiring (Mike Garnett may prove me wrong).
Overall record at Lancaster - played 20, won 5, drawn 6, lost 9, scored 26, conceded 30. I think you have a point.
Thanks Mike.

I wonder if Lee Poland is available

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Season extension
« on: March 10, 2018, 07:09:23 PM »
Extending a season sets a precedent, when is it done.  Does it give an advantage to a club that doesnt get its fixtures completed.  If all clubs have a backlog fair enough but this is unlikely to be the situation.
Cheshire cup to be a preseason comp is the answer

If you make the CSC pre season then you risk filling the schedule with fixtures that are less lucrative and not having the preferred type of opposition.

I would do away with it altogether, an anachronism in 2018 I'm afraid.

I wouldn't extend the season either.

You can’t “do away” with the CSC. It’s a requirement of our registration for the Cheshire FA enabling us to take part in the FA Cup and FA Trophy

Must admit don't know why he brought Harrop off.

Any idea why their goalkeeper coach was clapping and laughing at us at the end?

If it was Paul Phillips it wouldn’t surprise me, guys a complete kn*b jockey

That's our best performance for a couple of months, at least for the first 80 odd minutes.  Some great football on a pitch that surprisingly allowed it and loads of chances.

Tony Thompson was upset about the stop start nature of Aaron Chalmers run up for the pen.  Apparently it's not allowed anymore.

I've got five of the next 6 Tuesday's getting home at 2am to look forward to now!

Also, in the build up to the penalty the Ashton player on the right wing was well offside.

Players have this evening released a statement to say they haven’t been paid wages for January, they’ve tried to find out what’s going on and have had no response.

Serious?

Or could you look more into it and say the owners have seen the short success a SOS brings with instant cash flowing in such as Hartlepool and Chester?
