Thanks again for great commentary tonight.

Would have settled for a draw at the start but we obviously had the chance to take all 3 points.

The Conference would beg them to join. But this sort of thing makes it harder for Altrincham to ever get the place in the football league that they were robbed of all those years ago.

Just like they did with Chester City. And who paid the price?
They will be resurrected as a phoenix club with lots of money having not had to pay their debts. Morally very very wrong.
Why should former FL clubs be given this advantage over the likes of Alty?
A comment as a Pompey local, a frequent visitor to Fratton Park and the husband of shareholder in the Supporters Trust....
After the court case today it's looking like the Supporters Trust now own the club and the ground and the club will be able to come out of administration. They won't have settled all the debts in full and so I believe that will trigger another 10 point deduction but they just be relegated to League 2 rather than expelled.

Not paying their debts is immoral and wrong but the Supporters Trust are trying to do the right thing going forward.
They won't have massive re-investment and the trust's business plan doesn't have them breaking even for a several years but the long term plan is for stability and living within their means.

My sister, a lifelong friend of Eric's daughter Jackie, told me about Eric's death last night. I was also coached by Eric at various times when I first started playing football. A wonderfully enthusiastic and knowledgeable coach who fueled my love of the game.

I didn't know he had any connection with the club.

RIP Eric and thanks for everything.

I'd rather oppose the points deduction altogether.
Points deductions should be, used where teams have deliberately tried to get around the rules. I know the club statement may only tell one side but it doesn't seem like there was anything suspicious going. This is about paper shufflers ganging up to justify their importance.

Whichever club he supports i thinks it's amusing that he's still seen as a betting expert when he was declared bankrupt as a result of money owed to Sporting Index.

You've got to love a battling 1-0 away win against one of the teams at the top.
Sounds like we were clinging on a bit at the end but hopefully that will help to build confidence in our defending.

I downloaded the .pls file ok and the URL is now listed in the Shoutcast client but if I try to start it the client crashes.
Not sure if that's because RR isn't broadcasting or if my client is nadgered.

st hughs , loved it  then  st ambrose , well at least i wasnt bullied  there , not by the kids anyway . Would have gone to  bth but it was supposed to be crap in the 70s  and 80s although good now i believe.

Went to Alty Grammar but would go and play footy on the hockey pitches at St Ambrose until the brothers came out to chase us off. If they caught you you got a proper good hiding! Happy days eh?

awesome thanks, keeper should never have been sent off and was outside the area, still i am not complaining :-)

Shouldn't have been a pen but he did make contact and prevented a clear goalscoring opportunity which is a sending off. A bit unfortunate maybe but those are the rules.
