Completely agree.
Make you even more proud to know that the success has come while running the club sensibly and with a view to long-term stability rather than pumping in a load of cash.

Well done Grahame and everyone else who helps to run the club. It wouldn't have happened without you.

Brilliant highlights as ever.

The second goal was great move from the intercepted long ball (Leather?) through the little interplay between Clee and Lawrie, good hold-up play by Walshaw, great cross by Clee, good knock down by Reevesy good work by Richman to hold off the defender and cool finish by Laurie (who had started the move with Clee on halfway).

I'd think Hednesford would be disappointed with the defending for the equaliser. They must know that Reeves is all about finding bit of space but they had four defenders against two and didn't pick up either of them. The closest player to Reevesy was Lawrie. Brilliant cross by Walshaw to pick him out though.

Roll on Saturday.

Seconded.
As an exile it's great to see extended highlights of the Alty games and so professionally done.

Not bad Nicky. Not bad at all

First half we played superbly. Untill Toff decided to sing about playing pompey next year.

Second half they were always going to attack and force us back - happens every year! but we stood strong.

Title race aint over yet.
And pompey then went and won
Don't worry they'll struggle. Every chance they'll lose to Northampton in the relegation 6-pointer.
I've got a Pompey season ticket and they've been dire.

I really hope Alty can go up. There's a chance that three teams within 10 miles of here could be in the Conference next year - Eastleigh, Havant and Pompey.

IF we make the playoffs now it will probably because we put a good run together and so we'd go into them with some decent form. It's a big IF though at the moment.

First track was Sheep by the Housemartins. Can't remember what second one was but it wasn't Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

Showing what a class act he is. Charmless twot.
Just makes the victory feel all the better.

Well done all, especially the people who made the trip to support the team.

My first game of the season, up from the south coast and as others have said it was a poor game but a good 3 points. Back four were excellent - no idea how they didn't put away one of those goaline scrambles. Passing was poor by both teams.
I thought Alty were stating to get control after the goal but after Walshaw's injury we just couldn't seem to keep the ball for any length of time. I don't think Perry played badly but Walshaw seemed more willing to drop off and help the midfield.

I gave up on the car park and went into the bar until it had cleared.

Newly promoted and top of the league.  Fair choice I'd say.

i do fear we wont see any real notiable additions now, but who knows................we may sign that Senior guy yet?

But only if we can find him! Anyone know where he is?
Oddly enough he seems to have spent some time as a woman according to the Huddersfield town website ( http://www.huddersfield.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=287177 ) :
"Senior worked last season on a part-time basis for Huddersfield as a masseuse"

Great result.
Managed to rest a few key players. Others came in a stepped up - against what sounded like poor opposition - but seems like they were up for it which would seem to indicate good squad morale.
And carrying momentum into the playoffs unlike some of the others.

Come on Alty!
