It's a football match, not a tea dance, you make huge mistakes and your going to get pelters from a paying public. If she'd kept up with play she would have been ok, but it's a case of being able to read the game. And everyone is entitled to an opinion, and mine is that ladies should officiate ladies football, and men officiate men's football. I'm not interested in the politics of it, this I a sport not a council office, football isnt run like any other business. Its just a good job we didn't need a point to get a playoff place.Anf for what it's worth a thought the ref was dreadful yesterday as well, is he also beyond reproach or can it be pointed out they he too was useless?
Can't really see why not being able to keep up with play is anything to do with her gender.
There have been plenty of similar posts about the failings of male liners.

Think where we might be without those goals!

Can't get to the games so can't thank you enough for these.

We certainly created enough chances to win.

If it is the same place then I remember my Mum and Dad taking me there when I was a nipper and we'd wander down to the end of the lane to 'watch the panes' from the gate which was where the Wilmslow Road was cut off when the extended the runway and put the tunnel under it.

The text on the back mentions an entry in Kelly's directory for 1906. Did a quick search on that on Ancestry.com and it looks like the entry is for the Red lion in Ringway searched on that and found a link to the Romper which has a description at the bottom saying it used to be called the Red Lion : http://www.pub-explorer.com/lancs/pub/romperaltrincham.htm
Looks like the same building.

Technically they owe £1m, but, that might be to the owners of the club, bit like Nottingham Forest owe the now deceased Nigel Doughty £70 million. He lent it to them, but probably never expected to see it repaid. Possibly includes loans from the banks as well?

In the year they made a loss of £45,000 and that was probably covered by loans, but it's hard to say for certain.

They probably need to sell more widgets, at a higher price to get somewhere near to profitability.

Senior's only on loan.......oh, sorry, WIDGETS !

If expecting a result at home against a side in the bottom 5 when we are 6th is arrogant, then yes, that's me.

They're not in the bottom 5 any more, they're on a roll - confirmed by their result on Tuesday.

We haven't shown any consistency all season and so I'm not really surprised by any result. Based on the form I'd say we should struggle on Saturday so I'm half expecting us to have a big win but who knows.

most important win, yes.

best win, no.
I think everyone agrees that it was important and 'best' can mean a lot of things. Maybe the best in the way it was turned round after half time - coming back from a goal down, breaking down a side who were looking to hold on to a lead?

Agree Reeves goal was a stunner. His level of confidence must be way off the scale to attempt that.
His swingometer is doing loops.

I agree with Socrates as it denied McGivern the opportunity and I doubt the other defender would have got a challenge in. Correct red card in my view, although a lot of refs would not have given it.

I think that's where the element of fortune comes into it. It was a foul, it did deny a clear goalscoring opportunity, so it shoul be a red but they are rarely given and even more rarely given in the first minute.
It was the right decision but still a surprise to get it.

.....was absolutely brilliant. Right up there with the best I've seen in nearly 50 years at Moss Lane.

He tends to score a lot of "simple" goals (but being in the right place to bury them is his particular skill). If Wayne Rooney had scored that one we'd have seen it fifteen times on MOTD and Alan Hansen would be playing with himself on each rerun  ;)

I can hardly wait to relive it on Youtube please !

He wouldn't have scored it had the Keeper not made a mistake.

You caould make that statement about most goals. Right now you'd be better off on your own forum lambasting your keeper for being sh1te last night.

I wasn't there but listened to RR and  just watched the highlights and it seemed like their keeper had a pretty good game apart from that one error. And I think most keepers would think they'd done ok if they pushed the ball away towards the bye line and had two players behind them, one on the line. I think only a striker who'd scored 30+ goals and was feeling like he could score from anywhere would have even tried that. I suspect most players would have turned away and lookd for a support run.  It was a very special finish.

I'm sure I speak for most people when I say that we're glad to get these highlights at any time.
Really professionally done. I'm surprised it doesn't take longer very time!

Thanks again.

Still not sure their second pen should have been given and while I'm not sure if the defender got the ball at the other end, I don't see how Miles could have stayed on his feet after that challenge. Never a dive.

I can understand the ref not giving a pend for the challenge on Miles but it's clear there was contact from the defender- it's just whether he fairly got to the ball. Shocking to give a booking for 'simulation'.

The first one is interesting. Looks like Collister got to it and it was quite a way off the ground. Wonder what the ref would have done if he'd made a more obvious contact with the ball and the forward had made contact with him that high off the ground. I'd have said his foot was above wait height and can't see how his studs weren't showing which, these days, tends to be deemed an unsafe challenge and a sending off.

All interesting viewing but from what others who were there have said we didn't deserve any more than a point so let's not get too worked up about it.

may be i am biased (or perhaps racist) but suarez is a T**t. his behaviour after the ghana uruguay QF was a disgrace. yes we would have all handballed on the line but dont jump around celebrating after you get sent off. dick head in my eyes. if i was evra i would have celebrated much more !!!!!!!right in his dirty lying spic face

I agree with your summary of Suarez but at the same World Cup Evra acted like a spoilt brat and a complete tool to the extent that their whole squad fell apart.  Can't condone racism but I've got no jsympathy for either of them. They deserve each other.
