Piss funny init

They aren't supposed to be our rivals, but I personally love seeing them lose.

Nothing against them personally. Think they'll end up being ok at the end of the season.

Kosylo is one of our most creative outlets with everything running through him..no idea what anyone would mean saying he's a liability. Smith and Hardy were both standout players today as well.

Harrison was very poor, I agree with the majority here and I'd rather start Peers over him on Tuesday. Ridiculous to say you could lose faith in Phil in any way but clearly he's tried to rectify a situation and it hasn't worked this time with Harrison, it happens. Besides, he obviously thinks Piggott is the long term solution but as he isn't fit yet there isn't much he can do is there?

Bromley were a decent outfit but we're giving away too many cheap goals at the moment and don't have anyone to get on the end of our attacking phases of play.

Genuinely loving that we're dissecting performances after a narrow defeat away at Chesterfield and thinking about how we can turn it around when we're 10th in the conference.

Still can't quite believe where we are but in terms of the immediate last few games I think we have looked vulnerable from that clipped ball into the 6 yard box a few times this season. Possibly down to not getting close enough to the wingers as they advance into our final third. That coupled with missing the penalty and you're not going to get much at this level regardless of how good the performance was.

Really encouraging performance tonight. unlucky not to get a draw ceesay, Kosylo and Smith
all played well and considering our players probably aren’t 100% we matched a very good chesterfield side for large parts of that. Well in lads.

How on earth did Brian Flynn and John Edwards so completely misread the sending off of Connor Hampson?!

Like the team, they've also been below their usual high standards so far this afternoon.

They both explained that they were over the other side of the pitch and admitted they hadn’t seen it. It’s not easy when it’s happening in real time with a limited view in fairness to them.

Phil mentioned this in his post-match interview after Yeovil saying players had been playing a lot of minutes. Kosylo has played every game I think. He also mentioned that him and Sorvs had split the season into 4 and would be relying on the squad in this next segment. We might see a few changes on saturday but the luxury of it is we have some great players to step in if needs be. A fit Dens and Richman  could be ideal at this point of the season to give that little boost we've lacked in our last 2 fixtures.

We got giddy. Hopefully this shock the players back to reality.

I disagreed pre match that we shouldn't be playing a Playoff side without Moult and it hurt us big time.

Toby Mallarky has barely played Conference football, and barely played CM (for Altrincham). It was a disaster against Barnet, where we scrapped by, poor last night.

At fault for both goals.

If Torquay was 8,9,10/10, Sutton was 7 or 8 /10. That was a about a 5 or 6 and you get punished for that.

Still not reached 10 goals between all our strikers, which is poor, and the reason Harrison is getting stick is that a CB could do his job up there holding it but he can't lay it off, and he can't finish. Any striker AT conference level should be finishing 1 on 1.

Obviously Toby had a quiet game last night but I wouldn't say we scrapped by Barnet. We dominated that from start to finish in my opinion. Anyway, these are all good problems to have and we're having a superb season. To be disappointed that we didn't beat Wrexham shows the shift in mndset compared to any other time we've been in this league.

I also notice these days that lots of opposition managers say they were beaten by the better side when they lose to us. That never used to happen in previous years. It was always "a bad day at the office" or smash and grab for us. The progress is just hard to even get your head around at times it's come so fast.

Agree on your point about goals, though. We're creating a lot of very good chances for ourselves these days so we've got to start to put them away. 3 definite goalscoring ones in the first half last night and not putting one of them away probably cost us at least a point.
(but it is hard to be too disappointed overall)

Agree with this. I think if he's a board member he needs to act the part, which doesn't include getting into arguments with with other teams' fans.

Will you be changing your name to Catax GolfRoader? Bill used the phrase "Catax Golf Road" this p.m. so I assume it's now sponsored?

It'll have to depend on the sponsorship deal they're offering!

Great highlights as always. Are there any interviews with Phil or Neil from Saturday or last night to come?

A Little or a Reevesy would score bags of goals in this team.

To Match a very good Stockport side over 2 games in the national league is immense. Well done lads. Shows how far we’ve come when we’re consistently picking up results against anyone in this league. The last 4-5 times we’ve been in this division games like this were almost a write off

I'm sure Woking would much prefer playing tomorrow night in tumbleweed JDS than coming on another all home fans Tuesday.

Judging by the weather as it is now and the forecast there’s probably little chance of this being on tonight

Phil and Neil have a very solid record with loanees.

Have made or are making an impact:

Connor Hampson - gone on to become a first team regular
Chris Merrie - valuable contributions alongside Moult during the NPL run-in
Yusifu Ceesay - big part in the 18/19 run-in
Owen Dale - quality during his time here
Ashley Hemmings - solid
Joe Piggott - solid enough
Billy Sass-Davies - looking like he'll be solid
Josh Lundstram - class
Andy Dales - potential is there
Joe Robbins - tidy enough
Alistair Smith - looks a player

Didn't make an impact for whatever reason:

Brendon Daniels
Josh Langley - didn't play a first team game?
Chris Sang
Nathan Waterston - got injured a few minutes after coming on?
Ethan Walker

Do you want to do one of the permanent signings we've made?

I think it's people like you who Parky was alluding to in his post match interview

Parkinson needs to get a thicker skin. Dare he go to a bigger club, he'll meet far worse than "Tom Peers isn't a conference player" (you'll notice he didn't start in any of our three wins). Or "Go and spend some money on permanent players".

You can be positive and criticise;. As they say, good is the enemy of great.

His loan signings have changed the season numerous times; but his player recruitment has been very hit and miss

He seems to have an incredible knack for realising when a player doesn't hit the mark and adapt quickly by changing it. I don't think you can question him beyond that. 2 promotions in 3 seasons would suggest his recruitment within the confines of the budget he's been allocated has been absolutely spot on.

I also don't think he was complaining about individual comments I think he's disappointed when we go 2 games without a win in the national league etc and some people start calling for changes or to get rid of players. I think he see's the whole club, fans included, as a collective and is probably disappointed to see some people being negative at the first sign of something not being 100% right.

Personally, I believe he doesn't deserve any criticism, (constructive or not) given his record. However, i do think we start every season slowly and I suspect that's because Parkinson has a system (or systems) that takes time to implement properly and perhaps relies on players being fully match sharp before it's 100% effective. Early signs suggest it's coming together again which is a testament to him and Sorvs being able to play effectively the way we do as a part time side in this division.
