Better get my face mask out then, I don't want my face to be video when I force Ballers to give me a piggy back to the bar at half-time!

Good to see you at York v Wrexham Phil, Yorklass74 will be one of the 800 whilst I will be taking place amongst friends in the social club bar! Opposite ends for us as usual!
Dave

Good to see you too Dave, should be a good game in front of a very healthy festive crowd. See you in the bar!

Sadly due to bloody xmas it is another game I wont be able to attend...

Please feel free to leave Brodie and Gash at Kit Kat Crescent for this one
 ;)

Gash is out of the side at the moment, he is slowly returning from injury.

Brodie has just beaten the club record for the earliest date in a season to reach 20 goals and he is certainly the man to look out for at the moment. He tends to annoy opposition supporters though!!

Get the bunting out chaps, we are coming to town in a few weeks.

On a serious note, if what Hughesy has been telling me about the policing arrangements for our match is true, then I think it's a real shame that what is always a friendly-spirited fixture has to be policed in such a heavy-handed way just for the sake of a few scrotes from Luton.

On the plus side, we should be bringing quite a few, would be disappointed if we didn't bring 800 to Moss Lane.

But on this one it is where it has been edited http://www.youtube.com/user/shawma1us#p/a/u/2/YCK-vsxfJOU
and the Spieght hand is not in question.

I don't understand why it has been edited in that way and there is no way that will be the clip that the FA looked at.

They will have watched the proper match DVD in clearer quality, unedited.

Which I think is one of the main misgivings Phil. I don't think anyone would defend Smithy on the basis that if he's smacked someone then he deserves what he gets. But if this footage is not from the official match video it should be disregarded.

After all, the referee, 2 assistants and 4th official haven't seen it. If it comes to light on the official video then fair enough. Otherwise, very strange.

Absolutely - if it's footage other than an officially accredited camera op then it is illegitimate.

However, I'll wager the "YouTube" issue might be a red herring - I put official YCFC footage on YouTube for supporters to watch and it most certainly can be used and has been used in appeals before. Not the YouTube clip though, the proper match copy.

The FA seem to have manufactured a situation whereby the author of the video is effectively the person who decides what will or will not be reported, and if this person is remotely connected to either of the two teams then how can this be impartial.

As someone who films matches in the same way and uploads the highlights online, let me comment on this.

For any Blue Square league match it is in the rules that full length copies of the match tape (usually a DVD) have to be provided (within 48 hours) to both clubs and to the referee's assessor. It has been known for the referee's assessor not to bother with his copy when the game has passed off without incident. It is also quite usual to receive a phone call from the club secretary asking for clarification of any specific incident in order to decide whether or not to launch and appeal - which now has to be done pretty much immediately due to new rules enforced. Likewise the away club can use the footage supplied by the home club to appeal too.

The match between Mansfield and Alty is an anomaly because, as far as I am aware, it is not in the rules of this stage of the competition that you must provide the away club with a copy of the game. Usually it is good manners to do so however. Likewise in the FA Trophy - in fact when York played Torquay United in the semi-final, Torquay refused to submit a video copy of the 1st leg to York so that York could use it in training for the 2nd leg. So you could say that while it might be seen as poor form by Mansfield they have not broken any rules.

The fact that the footage is on YouTube is irrelevant if it is from the Official tape, as it will be the official tape used by the FA to make any judgements regarding suspensions and other punishments.

Cheers for the hospitality as usual boys, feeling a bit worse for wear today as expected!

Alty look a half decent side but you need to give Dale Johnson some coaching and get rid of Coburn whose nonsense keeping cost you the 3 points. Chester are going straight down and would be even without the points deduction.

See you at Xmas!

Hello old timers,

Long time no see.

I am planning to hop on the train tomorrow seeing as York don't have a game, to see one of our "play-off rivals" (Altrincham)!

No doubt I shall be heading to the Porterhouse to start with, if you fancy joining me I should hopefully be there for about 12.

Hughesy, Ballers, WaryGarrington - I expect you to be there you cheeky chimps.

Cheers,

UKP

Hello there,

First question is - where are we having our pre-season piss up this year after last year's day out to Staly Vegas?

Second question is - is MySquare running again this year?

I suggest to deal with the first question the only option for me, looking at your fixtures and ours, might be a little session at Abbey Hey on 11th July. Will you be putting a proper team out and will anyone be going?

As was pointed out in the statement by the Conference board, 64 out of 68 clubs below the BSP can manage to register player with potentially part-time admin staff. If they can do it, professional ex-league sides should be able to do so

But that's not what it means mate. It doesn't mean 64 out of 68 clubs have got it right, it means only 4 clubs have been caught out by their random tests, which is a whole different ball game.

Phil,

The rule at Alty is that you are given 15 minutes and then the pop side make a decicison that sticks.

Unless you are a winger.  If you impress in your first game you should start every other until you leave  :)

Fair enough, I'll expect a text from Hughesy at 3.15pm then!!

Ben Wilkinson is absolutely dreadful, one of the most pathetic excuses for a player I have ever seen in a City shirt, and believe me I've seen plenty of them in what is the worst team in our history - and he can't even get into the squad!

He is not good enough to play for Altrincham, I will tell you that now.

His mincing around the field might provide you with entertainment though now that you're safe - sometimes it's good to have a joke player on the field just to brighten things up.
