At least we now know the reasoning behind the hollywood takeover of Wrexham.

Am I dreaming this, I am sure I remember a home game with Stalybridge ( possibly) about 30  years ago on a TV station called Wire or Sportswire TV. Bizarrely I seem to recall the summariser being Alan Kennedy.
Does anyone else remember this. It was a rubbish match that may well have finished goalless on a wet, windy evening.

If we'd have taken penalties like that over the last few years we'd be in the championship by now!

The problem in replacing jordon is the same as the reason he left in the first place. Good players want to be full time to improve and be the best they can. It’s all well and good saying we need to get a proper replacement but we have to fish in the part time pool and that has limited talent in it.  Ceesay may well be the best option out there

Cisse was a FT footballer. Sutton was a FT footballer - albeit it on the way down.

We've not even looked at loan players - which given our record with loan signing (which is pretty impeccable) I thought would be the obvious option - even if we had to use the cash to subsidise a player.

I've had conversations with Wrexham and Chester fans before about the part/full time issue.
As full time non-league clubs they are fishing at the very bottom of the pool of full time players. As an optimistic Alty fan I would say we are no worse off fishing at the top of a pool of players who, for whatever reason, prefer part time football. Its got us into a league populated by predominantly full time clubs at the moment.

Shouldn't have lost that. However the team we had out at the end probably is how we should carry on the season. Just need to find a place for Kosylo as well.

Surely no-one is entertaining the idea of leaving Moss Lane.

I'd be careful about letting political affiliations cloud your judgement here. There's far more chance of  fans in football grounds under a Tory administration than anyone else.

When you think of the facilities and expertise we have here at Alty, Alty TV, Radio Robins, the CSH etc its amazing to think we are a part time non-league club.
Great to see updates like this on the main site as well.

Great performance last night. Rode our luck but after we survived the first 20 minutes we never looked in any real danger. I'd give a special mention to Joel Senior, good in defence and looked like a genuine winger on the ball.

I still think this is a priority. I know we have a couple of options, but if we are to push on we need to replace JH with a player of equal calibre.

I take no pleasure from this at all. Always enjoyed watching JJ and felt gutted when he left. Its been a nightmare for him at Chester, not least in the playoffs last season.
There are one or two strange comments there. Its not a case of how good a player we said he was, its up to Chester to decide. If he can't play as well for them as he did for us it's Chester at fault. If anyone has an over inflated reputation it's probably their two managers, not exactly setting the world on fire and quick to blame everyone except themselves.
