Probably this has been discussed countless times, but I was looking at the sides coming down from the league above and they are all very much Southern clubs. `I am guessing that the most Northern of the Southern league clubs will move from south to north...or is there more to it? Who is it likely to be?

We may need to pray for a little global warming to save the pitch. The problem is that our current style of football...amazing as it is to watch...will be completely f**ked up by a bad pitch and give the edge to the less skilled but more physical sides.

On the plus side, we have done so well against most of the other top sides away...I imagine they won't be looking forward to the return trip to Moss Lane. I was kinda wondering about Chorley, who we have played, but their recent form looks complete sh*te... hopefully by the time we meet them they will be mid table.

from our website...

Altrincham travel  travel to Alsager Town, one of Phil Parkinson's former clubs, on Tuesday December 11th for a friendly game that has been arranged to give a number of players who are short of match time, a much needed run out.

I think we have to have confidence in PP that he knows what he is doing.

On current form I would have thought that we would be favourites, but the bookies have us 6th favourites, according to this link...

Anyway, winter is coming. If the pitch holds up and we don't have too bad a time with injuries, I would be pretty confident

I wish we were enough of a laughing stock to play in the league cup. Macc seem to play West Ham every third season in one cup of other. We have to qualify to play in the fa trophy..

Well said

Yeah - I wish we were in the FL and had just got thumped 8-0 away midweek against a Premiership side (albeit reserve squad)

It was only 2 seasons ago we were being thumped almost every game in the league we are in now :(

Good luck to the man. Will he be bringing investment?

Checking his profile, he is not exactly poor, but unlikely that working for a large corporate that he can bring anything substantial himself. And he doesn't look that old to have accumulated large banking bonuses to justify burning cash investing in a non-league club.

However, he does work for Barclays Wealth, albeit on the systems side from what I can see.Maybe he can help bring some wealthy clients together to form a consortium. Seems a long shot though.

See below link to his profile

What hasn't been debated is how much of an impact thestatszone may have had on this seasons performance. I have no idea...anyone else got any views?
