It was mainly banter, with a slight dig at Trafford Council who I think haven't covered themselves in glory in this instance. For the record, I absolutely do not blame the current management for this. I am pretty sure that this time next year everything will be sorted (except the main stand I guess) and this will be largely forgotten.

PS Welcome back Steve..happy you seem well again

These are dangerous days at Moss Lane. Watch out for trip hazards please. You might want to stay away if you want to stay healthy ;)

...is very much like being in love with a beautiful woman...

They can give you so much pain, heartache and upset, but we just can't stop loving them!

Sometimes feels more like a BDSM relationship :)

I wonder what the Trafford BC SAG (Safety Advisory Group) would make of Moss Lane in 1936?

In those days, if you tripped over at a football match you got up and continued to watch the game.

Crewe at home please. This was my first ever Alty game years ago, and I think we could murder them again :)

Very good deal for us. Wonder what would have happened if it had been announced a few weeks earlier....maybe Macc would have survived???

Also I would be very surprised if we were to put details of approaches to and negotiations with potential signings in the public domain before anything was confirmed...

In this case what exactly have we got to lose?
Id like to know if the club had considered this or never even thought of it.

If the club get in the habit of denying transfer rumors, which may in an individual case seem harmless, then when a rumor spreads that is actually true and the denial not forthcoming, then the secret is out. So a policy of silence on such matters, frustrating as it may seem in cases like this, is actually for the long term benefit of everybody.

Do I get the boring T**t of the year award???

I am in Dubai this month and this is what they have done for the Fountain Show, which can attract maybe 2 - 3000 people on a weekend night all crammed together...

This sort of thing may be how it plays out as there is quite some evidence that singing is risky. Quite a few choir members caught Covid early.

Depressing thought really that we would have to stand like that for a game

the whole thing is messed up. It's not the clubs fault, so we have to just relax and let these times pass. They will be over soon enough, but not soon enough ro satisfy our natural impatience.

For example, we can pile into a pub and watch the game indoors with limited controls. But the club is only allowed 10 invites including directors in a whole outdoor stadium, and those 10 have to fill in questionaires and have temperature checks too, presumably to protect some 20+ year old guys running on a pitch. And where is the amber zone in a pub? Anyone bothered to fly lately ?? No amber zones on the airplanes thats for sure!! And nowhere near similar controls to protect the fat bastard running the previously mentioned pub. Nor the people in Tesco, Lidl etc...

My view is that we are lucky that we even got the play offs given the lunacy of H&S these days. Everything is kinda illogical if you compare it to everything else, but in the grand scheme of things, we are just lucky to be playing York next week, and even luckier that nobody asks too many difficult questions about how 10 men managed to pull 2 goals back on Sunday lol.

My glass is half full tonight (literally), but I remain hugely optimistic towards Alty these days. And I wasn't one of the "10" lol

Last year I left the Chorley match obviously disappointed but also hugely optimistic about this year as I felt that actually we were the better team/squad....just everything went against us that day and the team was so tired it was painful to watch. I wanted to run on to the pitch myself to give them a fresh pair of legs !! And I predicted (on this site) that based on their style of football that day they would come straight back down. So yes, it needs luck and yes being tired is a real issue. But even if we don't go up, I remain optimistic for the future.

That said, I think these play off's will be more random than usual as its impossible to know how the past 3 or 4 months has affected the players and team dynamics.
