Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Durrell….
« on: December 21, 2021, 02:11:12 PM »
I think it's fair to say we got to enjoy Durrell at the very end of his peak and we should probably leave it there. Came, saw and conquered. We've absolutely no need for him anyway.

Agree. He went from villain to hero; lets not end with him as villain again.

One person quotes scientific research and submits their sources, other people reply by just saying ‘nah’.

I’ll believe the doctors thanks. Pretty sure they’re in the know. Hugh and other people like their little delves into conspiracy nonsense, which is fine, until it gets to a point where it’s actually leading to people becoming ill, or potentially dying, because Jeremy Corbyn’s dad said that masks are for Nazis. Embarrassing to see that sh*te spewed on this forum. Shameful.

There is a world of facts between swallowing the company line and conspiracy.

Just like there isn't such a think as THE science.

What ever comfort blanket that makes you feel better is fine by me but don't preach to others.

Presumably, this signifies that Trafford Council may have been persuaded to increase the capacity for this fixture?

Great news, we just have to make sure they behave themselves now :-)

By all means wear an FFP2 or 3 mask to protect yourself.

Anything else is pure theatre and the reports are not real world ones.

If you can take a step back and think to yourself that the virus is really dangerous but yet you will put your faith in a loose crappy mask then fill your boots Dr Love.

If you think masks cut transmission by 75% then god help your science.

One afternoon at Gravesend and Northfleet comes to mind 10/15 years ago.

I also found Southend the other week freezing. Maybe sitting down didn't help.

They have specially modified turnstiles so you can get in with a printer however they must be securely strapped to your back.

I'll never forget watching alty away at Slough in the early 90s and them beating a drum for 89 mins . Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum ... Slough .....repeat . We scored in the 89th min . They stopped 😂 so I sang it till the final whistle for them 😂😂

The legendary Darren Pybus in August 1996, perhaps?

yes ! This is it thanks ... More mid 90s lol

I was there too.

Look how high and mighty Slough thought they were in that report!!

I'm surprised Gary Abbott didn't score iirc he always did for Welling

I cant agree, he was instrumental in resurrecting this club from the depths, I'll always be grateful for the superb goals.  We may have moved on but i hold no bad feelings

Agreed

Yep and as Moss Lane isn't exactly over loaded with cash machines the option of cashless is a great option to have if you have travelled to the area not from the town centre as many do.

I really wish people could thing outside of what they do; it's not a great leap forwards.

Cash handed from one person to another carries germs. It’s fine that some people can only use cash, but it’s on its way out, with good reason.

Cashless is safer. Plain fact.

Here’s a link for you, there are hundreds though:

Whilst I think Hugh is over thinking the problems of advance tickets you neurotic thoughts about cash are so far from reality its quite scary.
