If this had been a general election you would of lost your deposit!!

I'd always wondered how representative the 'fans forum' was of the Altrincham fan base, now I know.

It's clear that fans forum is not at all representative of the fan base. Let's say 30 walked out and 30 applauded them and, let's be honest that being very fair then that's 5% of today's attendance. This then means 95% of those who attended today do not support #rowleyout.

Okay, I've included the stalybridge fans here but there weren't even 50 of them so we're splitting hairs.

The majority seems to support Rowley like it or not.

If you'd asked me 18 months ago that I wouldn't have watched Alty in 6 months and that I wasn't in traction I would have laughed you all the way to the Drill Field.

Nobodies laughing now I can tell you

We would have taken 70-100 in the past.

His club is failing and you can ignore it all you like but it is happening.

No doubt the board did have a preconceived plan as to how to manage the meeting but the opportunity was there to make the situation uncomfortable if the dissenters were passionate enough to turn up in numbers and press their case.

Instead there was two guys who asked questions about the comments Graham Rowley made and some sniping and at times odious comments being placed on facebook but that was the limit of it.

I'm looking forward to next season. It will be great to walk to the pub to celebrate for a change.

They won't listen, skin thicker than a rhino.

If you think I'm going to travel all that way to hear the same sh1t then you've got another thing comin.

UNTENABLE

I don't see Graeme Rowley walking away.

But if by some remote chance he did (possibly as a reaction to the amount of abuse he's getting), who would replace him ?

I've no idea. How on earth did we ever manage to exist for the previous 100 years without GR?
With a range of other chairmen who ranged from good (Noel White for example) to despicable (John Maunders). These men were all AVAILABLE. To rephrase my question.....who would be AVAILABLE to replace Graeme Rowley should he quit ?

So you'd let Rowley continue taking us towards The North West Counties League because you think no ones available to be our chairman? We might as well just lock the doors then. I'm sure there'd be a few available and very capable people if the board wasn't such a closed unit.

Quite so, but the status of our board makes such capable people UNAVAILABLE. I'm certainly NOT saying I'm happy with that....far from it. At the moment I actually believe that I'm going to give up watching football altogether.....other than on TV. This season has totally drained my enthusiasm.

Potential new chairmen are never available (sorry, AVAILABLE) as such. It's not like with out of work managers. The next chairman could be someone currently on the board or a longstanding supporter or someone who's just moved to the area or someone previously involved with another football club or a retired businessman or any number of other possibilities. Geoff Goodwin wasn't 'available' to be our chairman before it happened but happen it did.

Standing down once we're relegated (or now, frankly) is the right thing for GR to do. He has presided over a year of catastrophic failure, for which he has accepted no responsibility and shown no contrition, and has become the focus of anger and resentment from great swathes of the fans. If he has the best interests of the club at heart, he will stand down. Let's not give him excuses, and ridiculous ones at that, for staying on.

Indeed, this talk of finding someone first is getting tedious.

The club is on its last legs.

Do they know how lucky they are to have such loyal and persistent supporters? Other teams would have had three men a dog in the away end.

We are not in a position where this is going to carry on happening, new blood will die off.

We now have two top 6 Premiership teams on our doorstep!

My boycott continues and I took the opportunity to go and watch City at Palace, only £20. I had a very enjoyable day out.

Others will follow.

Are we going to run the power lead over the road to the chip shop?

Otherwise we'd need to half the wage budget to pay the bill

Got to expect at least one penalty for us if Jeff Johnson is refereeing!

What was the low don on the "fans club"

Used to reading people from other clubs going on about how wonderful FCuM are and what an amazing set up it is.

It seems we had a different experience?

Not sure why we'd ask Danny Higginbothams opinion tbh but apart from that it's a reasonable review.

Because he would have told Rowley that Young's a lunatic and so possibly helped us avoid the most catastrophic managerial appointment in our history?

Yep, its wha we call in the normal world as taking up references.

Not just the ones volunteered.
