To be fair yes it was handball but he still had a bit to do after it. I counted 4 players in the box just watching the guy have a shot.

Altrincham FC First Team / Can we drawn a line under all this now

All of this negativity is doing nothing to help the team and instead we should be looking at ways to help the club progress. After all the club and GH arent interested in our opinions about the manager anyway. No matter how bleak it gets nothing will change so lets face facts and move on

I think Ballers makes some very good points. I must confess Im not a GH fan and wanted him replaced in the summer, however unlikely that was going to be. As he wasn't I decided to see what this season would bring and was surprised at the quality of signings he brought in and have to say I cant complain about any of them. Its not fair to use the last 2 seasons as a stick to beat him with so early in the season. The players need time to gel and people must remember that we have had much worse starts to seasons before. I was appalled to hear GH getting booed by a particular person on Monday when he substituted Little and Senior for Johnson and Denham some people are taking their personal vendettas too far. Christmas is the time to re-assess and hopefully GH will have been successful and we will be in a comfortable position.

To be honest we all know what the problems are but theres nothing any of us can do about it. It just seems like weve been here a few times over the last couple of seasons and nothing has changed.

id love to know what drastic changes could be made. Weve only got 17 players and 16 were in the squad today and no money left in he budget.

Surely any manager worth his salt would have gone in there after the game and given them a bollocking? People paid good money to go there today and see a woeful performance. The manager needs to take control of the situation, not run off and sulk on his own! A team wins together and loses together, does it not?

Still, I'm sure he'll be oozing with charm the next time someone from Setanta sticks a camera in his face....

A very good point, as he was on Thurs

Not that he'll shoulder any blame himself though

my source summed it up "we were w*ank mate, never had a shot on target. Woeful."

Is that true? By my reckoning we've had 6 forwards on the pitch. Says it all really

Things havent got that bad yet, we need to find some confidence for Monday though or we'll get battered in our own back yard

To be honest I don't trust much of the managers judgements, but I try to give him the benefit of the doubt

To be fair it could be argued that we do have a far more experienced manager in the dugout in Graham Barrow.
