Southport have Duffy and Baker signed for another year and will score lots and lots of goals in Conf North. I still think Rod can do it at that level, but that leaves a winger short - shame about Chris Senior.
I don't share your confidence re. Rod Thornley but I do concur that the present squad is desperately short of pace.
Still require a left full back and a creative winger....at least!

We will miss him, Mrs Band and Bandy junior of course, but its not as if we won't see them. Surely Hyde will play Stalybridge on Boxing Day and New Year's Day.......whilst we battle it out in those huge derby fixtures against Leigh RMI....

« on: May 23, 2007, 10:54:21 PM »This time last year many people were perplexed that Karl Munroe remained at the club after some poor performances. Perhaps Andy Scott deserves that same chance?
Munroe had a good two thirds of the season...but his form deteriorated in the final third of the season when he amassed far too many bookings and developed an unfortunate habit of conceding ridiculous penalties.
In my view, Andy Scott was a very poor signing last year and I am dismayed to learn that we have retained him.
