Especially in such a poor league. I have never been a fan of Lee from the start, he has never sat well with me !!!

Again we have been beaten by a team who simply wanted it more.  Sinnott is clueless, best chance to get out of this league, it is so poor. There should be no excuses, it is down to poor selections, tactics and not getting the players up for games.

It is not his fault but I just feel we will drop more points than gain with Perry up front.  With him up top we become a different team with a different playing style, which is hoof the ball up. I heard some oooo’s and aaaa’s when he won a few flick on’s but how many actually pull off????The ratio is very poor , our on the floor passing has completely disappeared in recent weeks/months and a lot is to do with having Perry up top. In my opinion he is still lazy. We have been poor for a number of games now, ignoring the Stalybridge games but let’s face it they were a Sunday team on those days.

We have Joe on loan but Richman in better out wide than central.

Subs should have been done earlier and the first two should have been Lawire for Perry ( which was eventually done but only as the last sub when we needed goals???) and Moult should have been put into a central position, not out wide.

I also think we should revert back to Dens , Luca, Leather and Griffin at the back as we are conceding too many.

Until Walshaw is fit I would start Lawrie and Reeves up top. I appreciate James can be soft at times and sometimes lazy too but his delivery is the best we have and he has the best shot outside the box.

Fuming yet again!!!

Dodd looked quality!  Why not make enquiries?  If we don't get anywhere then make a public statement that we tried.  Richman will do a job out wide right in this league so I feel a ball retention midfield who can put it out to the wide men is needed! One with bags of energy, I appreciate it ain't easy. In the model of stevie connors please!

Cant keep blaming  Perry , i said after Saturday we cant play that formation , just to fit Higgingbotham , Nicky wasted in mid ,how the f**k can we have so many defenders and not be able to defend .
like I said NOT his fault but not fit enough and walshaw will constantly chase down and brings a lot more to the team. I blame Sinnott and his sh*te tactics,  always have done!

Fair point about Perry but he's far from fit, he's actually in a disgraceful physical condition. However Perry against better teams will be ineffective and when he plays we play ugly, but that is not his fault.

I said to my friend I was excited about Higgy signing but worried how sinnott will change it to accommodate him and it's proving me right again.  Not known many top professionals stand out when dropping divisions to see out their career. Firstly revert back to 4-4-2 now walshaw is injured. I am fuming tonight

To add I like Marshall but currently not fit and too slow. Let's try this team please gk coburn lb griffin rb densmore cb havern cb leather rw richman cm higgy cm moult lw clee cf reeves cf walshaw in a 4-4-2 formation.  Lee I dare you to give it a go, I dare you!  At times with sinnott it's a tactical mess

He is one of the worst managers we've had for tactics!  He has the squad but the clown has gone with the formation that clearly nearly costed us on Sat. Perry ain't good enough, Clee central is a waste and ineffective,  we don't play on the ground without wide men, we need dens right back, I'd play higgy defensive cent mid but if we feel we must play him then centre back with havern but I think leather deserves his place in defence as centre back. No crosses without wide men, which means hoof up to Perry!  Sinnott frustrates me soooooooo much arghhhh probably come back now!

Wasn't the line up about having three centre backs and filling the midfield to slow their progress? It wasn't pretty but it worked out in the end. Can't wait to see Walshaw's goal again.

Maybe so but we invited pressure and they deserved something out of that game. MOTM was Coburn with some class saves.

Perry has just done OK, but no-one can look at the Stalybridge games as they were dog muck!!!

I agree about sticking with 4-4-2 in this league but if he felt we had to play 3 at the back I would go with above.

My 4-4-2 team would be

Coburn

RB Densmore
LB Griffin
CB Havern
CB Leather or Marshall

LW Clee
RW Richman
DCM Higginbotham
CM Moult

CF Reeves
CF Walshaw

Anyhow it is 3 points so a massive well done !!!

Altrincham FC First Team / We got away with that !!!

Well done lads for fighting until the end to collect the 3 points !!

I am all for a change in formation but it was clear after only 10 mins today that 5-3-2 was not working. Griffin was up against an excellent right winger in there number 7 and had no cover at all, as our midfielders were very central. We needed width today and would have been better off playing 4-4-2 against a well organised Lemington team. Clee can not play centre mid, the game bypasses him and then he will try a turn which he would get away with on the wing and turns into trouble. Even reverting back to 4-4-2 for the last 8 mins made a difference but that should have been changed after the first 20 mins.

Perry did OK, not sure it was a man of the match performance, however we need to start Walshaw and Reeves.  There are times when Perry holds it up but today it was pointless as we had no width so we reverted back to the long punt up field. It was scrappy and the wrong tactics . The thing with playing Perry and this is NOT his fault is we become scrappy. We don’t get it on the floor, we are a much better team when the ball is on the floor. For me Walshaw and Reeves can easily play together, not a believer that strikers can’t play with each other. If it’s a case that Walshaw and Reeves become a bit more greedy playing together then I would rather have that, because I guarantee we would score more goals with those two. Walshaw brings you energy, he’s strong, good with his head and he continually chases down which Perry doesn’t do, which means teams move up the pitch more easier and quicker against us. At times today the full backs had no-one to pass to so just kicked very high in the air.

If we play 3 at the back this would be my team :-

                  Coburn

      RCB   Havern         LCB Higginbotham
                CB Leather
RWB Densmore                     LWB Griffin
         CM Richman        CM Moult

      RCF Walshaw            LCF Clee
                CF Reeves

Any sense and if he still has the legs which I am sure he has at this rubbish level then in front of the back 4 like Boshell, alongside moult which will allow moult to go furtherf forward which is his best position and richman out wide! Moult is capable of scoring a few! Really would like to see reeves and walshaw back together!

I honestly believe we should walk this league,  we need the belief!  It's hard to explain about Sinnott,  I do want him to succeed,  I really do but I've been pretty much obsessed with football all my life and it baffles me how many tactical errors he makes, most games in fact. We would be bossing this league if he got things right tactically in games. Like someone put on here, there are a few games when the players come out not really looking up for it, you even see this on the picture of the teams coming out at Barrow, think it's marshall and Perry joking about. You may laugh but games can be won with correct mental focus!  You need to be in the game and zone even before a ball is kicked! I just don't think he gets them up for it and focused at times!
