Terrible performance.
If possible, we need a striker and CM on loan. Maxi now back at United….
Without the pace and strength of Amaluzor, we create little out wide. Newby and Kossy always want to cut back in and it kills any sort of counter. Just wish Eddie would gamble more and get down the line. He is in acres most game.
Why are we so bad at set pieces? Awful corner led to their goal. We never want to attack corners.
Playing CCC out wide and Newby no.10 did not work at all, strange decision.
Need to make changes up top, until Linney comes back. Way way off the standard up there.
Marriott looked hurt, not good.
Felt like the momentum was lost after all the changes following the Aldershot defeat.

You can only but ask. He would be an excellent loan for the remainder of the season.

I don't think CCC is best used up top at all.

Justin Amaluzor will create more problems.

Yeah, Justin could do a job. Will put them under pressure, Angus doesn’t do that.

In that case Kossy and Newby out wide, with CCC behind Justin.

                        Ross

Banks      Cooper       Baines        Jones

               Osborne     Marriott

Amaluzor            Kossy               Newby

                         CCC

Or Amaluzor up top, with CCC 10 and Kossy back out wide.

Justin needs minutes.

Kossy’s best season was as a 10. CCC is more than good enough to be a fake 9 or go for the direct pace and power of Justin up top.

Well done boys, unbelievable battle.
Baines and Banks stood out.
Thank god we started with that tempo and got two goals ahead.
Sounds like Linney was silly, gutted as he was coming into top form.
They were naughty, with so many off the ball contacts.
That second half was hideous to watch but fair play to the lads.
Whilst Linney is out, I would have CCC as a fake 9, Kossy 10, with Amulazor and Newby out wide.
Thank god we subbed Kossy, he was close to getting that second yellow.
Massive 3 points.

Also agree.

As mentioned above, Ethan is a leader, who the defenders trust. No coincidence we have let in so many goals in his absence. Gives the defence huge confidence.

We are desperate for Ross. Gould has zero presence. Straight forward pass and he kicked it out of play, which led to their second.

Missing Amaluzor’s strength, pace and direct running. Too much cutting inside.

Kossy looked lively when he came on. Mooney hasn’t been great, personally felt we shouldn’t have re-signed him, average player.

CCC has had two poor games. Need him back on it.

Should have got loan players in. We are so short in CM.

Positive was that Linney looked dangerous and had a good game.

I fancy a win, but only if we get back to 4-2-3-1.

No idea who is fit, half fit, sore, fatigued, dead.

Altrincham FC First Team / Loans needed
« on: February 27, 2024, 09:44:13 PM »
Parky needs to give his head a wobble. All his rotating and overthinking has really messed things up. There have been some terrible decisions made.

Lack of movement and strength up top tonight was very obvious.

We played our best CM at right wingback. Terrible decision to loan out Donawa.

Wrong team selections are resulting in us chasing games, which is even more draining on the players. Having to constantly attack at every opportunity.

Play your best team and formation. Get in front, retain the possession and choose your counterattacks. Making the opposition work. What Parky is currently doing is running our players into the ground.

The season is rapidly fizzling out. Need to dip into the loan market ASAP.Priority is a young hungry striker to push Linney, CM and FB cover.

An update on Ross and Amaluzor would be appreciated.

Get in touch with United.

Never believe in rotation.

Momentum has gone.

If players can’t start two games then we might aswell be part time.

Parky is way overthinking sh*t.

Killing us and we certainly do not have the quality in depth.

Not playing our best CB is a joke.

How far away is Ross ?

What is up with Amulazor?

Osborne has been great this season, but now you can tell he has a newborn. In need of a Maxi.

Southend had a run in the season on 14 players. All the teams are playing Tues and Sat.

Might have to dip into the loan market. We certainly should be recalling Donawa, which was a bizarre loan out.

Not sure on the fascination with having Justin Donawa here right now.

Let him go and get plenty of minutes at a Chorley team that are going well - he got 90 in the tank the other night and we have enough options available to us.

Because Banks and Jones are playing every minute.

Donawa is more than capable RB, could play last 30 for Banks or even Banks to LB and Jones have some rest.

If we are rotating to keep players fresh, which I don’t agree with, then we have no fullback cover and only Wilson as CM cover. The positions that cover the most ground.

Has to be the above team, unless Ross is fit.

Would recall Donawa and give minutes for either Banks or Eddie. Both looked sluggish last night.

Also, if goes to plan and we are in a position then Wilson for either CM around the 70 mark. Again, both our CMs looked leggy.

We should start every game with our strongest 11 and then make the right  changes.

Can’t be drastically pissing about. Should be able to start two games a week as a professional.

Stay away from wing backs. We have enough wingers to keep at teams.

I think we need to give Parky a break here.  I (like many) was expecting a mid table team this season that would hopefully not get dragged into a relegation battle.  Instead we’ve had a bit of a blip in our attempt to make the playoffs!  This management duo is the best we’ve had since the glory days.  Let’s remember where we’ve come from.

Honestly, I thought we should and would be pushing playoffs .

Love Parky and Sorvs, but got it wrong. Said it last year, what I really respected about Parky is in the past, is that in the past he wouldn’t make drastic changes and always stuck to our formation. I just feel, he now overthinks fatigue, tactics and rotations.

Players should be able to start two games in a week.

If we played our strongest 11, then that game would have been game over in the first half. Then bring players off and protect them.

That change in formation was really poor, he subbed our two best players on the night. He seemed to panic tonight and it cost us.

Too many players rotated. They didn’t rotate a single player.

How on earth did we recede from complete control during the first half to that second-half omnishambles?

We should have been 2-0 up at half-time. Angus did really well to create that opportunity but then totally fluffed his finish.

We could even have added a second goal early in the second half with that Mooney chance.

Gould then proceeded to endure a nightmarish few minutes. What on earth was he doing not coming out to collect that ball which was headed back to him?
And then you could see him conceding that penalty from a mile off.

Fortunately, their goalkeeper was as poor as ours and was at fault for both Alty's goals.

We simply imploded in the face of their pressure and our away form is looking alarmingly brittle. I don't think that I've ever seen Marriott give such a substandard performance.

Parkinson's post-match interview should be enlightening.

He will never take responsibility.

His biggest mistake tonight was the change of shape and removing two players, who were causing them issues.

If he mentions that we ‘need’ to rotate over the remaining games, well Hartlepool just picked up 6 points, with the same starting 11 and us, zero.

He simply got it wrong.

Can he please give up on wingbacks, even if the opposition change their formation. We looked so disorganised and all central. Only worked away at Gateshead and awful in all the other games.

Three individual errors - three goals. Matt Gould looks tiny in the goals, we need Ethan back sharpish.

He is small  and struggles with shots to his side. He has been poor 2 games now.

Didn’t come off his line and when he did, I thought it was my dad running out.
