Bit of an odd game when both sides could have each had a couple more goals.
Heard some say it had an end of season feel to it, we looked like we had been to Dover and back only a day or so before. Not great to have a game so soon after such a long trip -hence the niggles, tweaks, injuries with players going down/off. So hope Tony T, Andy White, Ryan Colclough etc are OK. Not sure where Kossy was - injured? Thought Hall looked useful up front.

Well I had a good afternoon watch us win even if no-one else on here did :o

Thought Marriott and Mooney were superb today, also thought Josh Hancock had a decent game as well (contrary to what one or two others have posted, but there you go, these opinions are subjective).

Wealdstone looked useful when they got going after being 4-0 down in second half so well done to Parky and the lads on putting the game out of sight by that point and getting the 3 points. 8)

Yeah, bit of an odd game with Aldershot just having the one man up front and 2 lines of 4 and 5 behind. We had a lot of possession but it was tricky trying to get through the Aldershot lines. Might have missed Jordan Hulme today in that respect.

Another home 3 points and clean sheet, so credit to Parky and the lads on keeping this very good home form going.

Well done to Parky, Sorvs and the lads on another excellent result.
A very entertaining win with some great attacking stuff especially from Coco and Jordan, who were both superb again. We really did force their defence into mistakes and finished very well. Plus we even scored from a penalty.
Another clean sheet.
Great stuff from the whole team really.

Hope we put in a similar display next week at Southend, we were terrible in the home game (in the dark days of the ground closure issues, they were marginally less bad that day and got a win).

Congrats to Parky and the lads on an excellent result.

We didn't let them settle at the back and punished their mistakes. Some quality stuff like what you'd expect from a Parky Alty side. Solid in midfield and stopped making the daft mistakes at the back and going 1-0 down early on.

Good all round team effort but Kossy and Hulme were excellent tonight.

Up to 14th, well done lads 8)

Some good answers from Phil which helped clear up a few things.

*E.g. Richie Sutton - (paraphrasing here) he wants to play weekly football but tough for him to maintain weekly fitness with long coach journeys etc at National level.
*Phil took a pay drop and no pension by showing commitment to be FT Alty boss (by giving up his lecturers job).
*Ryan Colclough's commitment to the club shown by turning down an EFL move in the Jan window and wanted to 'give back' to Alty.
*Club still looking into the FT or hybrid model but decision is obviously at board level and mustn't weaken the squad.

Paraphrasing some of the answers so apologies if details missing...

Didn't go yesterday, but happy to take the positives.

Being 0-2 down and drawing 2-2 is certainly a better outcome for morale than being 2-0 up and drawing 2-2.

The Kings Lynn Weymouth game went the way we wanted it to, and we'll probably have enough to stay up.

Hopefully 2 weak southern teams will come up - because based on Kiddy's showing yesterday and the fact we've been dumped out of the cup by Fylde and Gateshead, 2 strong northern teams will be joining us.

I yearn for the days when we barely used any players because we knew our best XI and they stayed fit. Hardly many fan's favourites on the pitch at the moment.

How did the pitch hold up?

The pitch was generally good, given the weather, muddy in the goalmouths that was about it. See that Halifax, Rochdale and Salford were all waterlogged off, so credit to the new drainage for allowing the game to go ahead. Very likely we'd have to postpone that a year ago.

As for the game - just a yawning gap in our midfield right from the kick off and they went straight through to score. Their keeper made a pretty good penalty save, then we stood off their lad who produced a decent shot to be fair for the second. Tony T kept us in it with some superb saves when he was badly exposed again.

Credit to the lads though for fighting back from 2-0. Coco's second was a great individual effort. Conn Clarke had a decent debut.

Jordan Hulme on a stag do. Absolutely shambolic and tinpot as hell that, what’s happened to the culture we’ve witnessed over the last few seasons. It’s gone, there no retrieving it now, let them go, let’s say our thanks and bring someone in who knows the level, as the form over the last 18 months is disgraceful!

If this is true, cancel his contract and play Peers till we signed a striker.

In a month where we lost Cardwell to a relegation rival who've won 3 in a month, this ins unacceptable.

Hasn't Jordan Hulme got a groin injury so had no chance of playing this weekend anyway?

You must have watched a different game to me. Digie was truly awful, and the MOM award was surely ironic.

In an odd way, he kind of was MOM  :P

Well on a positive note the full backs looked good and it was a great strike from Toby for the equaliser.
Confidence improved and we looked the better side for rest of the first half.

Then we started the second half dozily - unusual for us as we usually start the second half well and get better from there.
If we can get Richie Sutton back that is an obvious move. Don't ever remember him letting us down.

Any problems with the floodlights need sorting - it is tedious and amateurish.

Clearly down on confidence, need to get a raggedy arsed win from somewhere.

Ffs surely they could have extended his stay until the end of the season.

Some decisions bewilder me sometimes

One minute we’re praising a bloke because he has signed for us and we’re singing his praises, next thing he is released, without (in my mind) getting a decent chance to show his usefulness.

Jake will be a certainty for tomorrow now.

Good luck Dean, I thought you were a decent player.

It's always interesting how people see games and players differently. Personally I thought Furman had a fair few chances and was never much good. Seemed to give the ball away a lot and put pressure on the defence. Would rather have had Sean Williams.

Agree on the hyperbole surrounding Furman's signing, maybe that inflated expectations. That is not Furmans fault btw, that was the clubs giddy marketing.

Hopefully frees up some of the budget to get a better player in.

Would letting those 2 go be a big deal?

Jackson was subbed at Buxton on Saturday because of an injury according to a friend of a friend.

Jackson injured? Never!  ::) ::)

Not a happy clapper either but I thought that was encouraging.

Couldn't fault any of the lads today. Tony T made some decent saves (especially in first half, didn't have a great deal to do as the game wore on). Kennedy D & Fitzpatrick were fine. Midfield did well and Furman also contributed well going forward after he came on. Hope Marriot is OK. Good to see Mooney back and lively. Coco got better as game wore on and looked to be getting his mojo back.

We won't be playing against bankrolled sides that much longer, keep playing like that and we'll be picking up points again. Deffo agree we need someone to stick any chances away though.

Extended highlights on Youtube. Unbelievable that we didn't score

At the end of the game I thought we could have scored 3 in the second half, watching that back it is more like 5,6 or 7.
