Altrincham FC First Team / Alty Away Dayz Next Season...
« on: April 11, 2021, 10:50:13 AM »
Looking forward to next season - i hope as Covid eases fans maybe allowed to go to away games; as not only have i missed the matchday experience of home games & catching up with mates BUT i, like many, have missed the 'away day craic' of day trips to old/new grounds, 'few' ales, & a day out with mates...

I was looking at the table this morning and it looks like Sutton (who dropped from top to 2nd yesterday as had no game and play us next Sat) look well placed for the auto-prom spot as 1pt behind top with games in hand... the playoff prom spot looks a fight between 7 former league clubs who occupy the other positions in top8...

Hartlepool, Torquay, Stockport, Notts County, Chesterfield, Halifax, Wrexham...

Really enjoy a decent away ground so not sure who would want to go up out of these... maybe Torquay as so far away... defo dont want Notts County to go up as want to go their next season... plus guess Stockport is good for Boxing Day/NYD...

Anyway, lets hope we get away games as well as home games (govt/covid permitting) next season..

As i say, really looking forward to Notts County away & trip 'abroad' to visit Wrexham... anyone else looking forward to visiting a certain ground next season?

Altrincham FC First Team / Injuries - can we have an update please?
« on: April 10, 2021, 09:02:31 PM »
For those who are old enough to remember the BT TV adverts from the 1990s onwards... "It's good to talk"!
Well, it would be nice if someone from the club could update fans on the injury status of players not playing...

We know Adarbioyo has been out most of the season and White out rest of season, plus assume Gibson loan not renewed due to injury, but where are the following players who don't even make bench today - injured/dropped/rested?

Hampson
Dens
Sutton
Zouma
Smith
Mooney
Kosylo
Adarbioyo

Gibson - assume loan ended
White - out for season
Plus anyone else i've forgotten

Any update would be appreciated... PLEASE!

Altrincham FC First Team / Next Sat - clash with Royal Funeral
« on: April 10, 2021, 08:29:12 PM »
Noticed that the Football League are moving all their 3pm games next Saturday so do not clash with Prince Philip's Royal funeral coverage... assume either to lunchtime or evening ko times or maybe even Sunday...

Wonder if our National League (& all others lges) will follow suit with changed ko times... 🤔
Assume all games will be moved after the sad news of his death and for the funeral as a mark of respect...

Altrincham FC First Team / Halifax Match Thread - this Saturday
« on: April 08, 2021, 07:21:07 AM »
Think Parky needs to freshen things up via changing a few faces in the starting XI &/or changing formation in coming matches (as no relegation & safely midtable) so we can try new things before next season... eg maybe rest Hancock or give Bell a start, etc...

Obviously a good striker remains a priority for the summer... assume Parky will stick with 4,2,3,1 formation so would like to see (if fit)...

                             TT
Richman, Zouma, Hannigan, Hampson
                   Smith, Moult
        Kosylo, Hancock, Colclough
                             Bell

Subs- Senior, Williams, Hardy, Ceesay, Piggott

However, reckon he'll go with...

                             TT
Senior, Mullarkey, Hannigan, Hampson
                    Smith, Moult
           Hardy, Hancock, Colclough
                         Piggott

Subs- Richman, Williams, Ceesay, Peers, Bell

Score Prediction...

Heart says Alty win... Halifax 1-2 ALTY (Hancock, Bell)

Head says draw... Halifax 1-1 ALTY (Hancock)

Altrincham FC First Team / Test Events?
« on: April 04, 2021, 10:23:38 AM »
We all want to get back to Moss Lane to watch some Alty footy as soon as we can, when safe & rules allow... we all miss the matchday experience of catching up with mates and watching the lads... plus will also help with mental health getting outdoors & doing something we enjoy...

There is light at the end of the tunnel as Covid cases/deaths drop, vaccine distribution increases, and BoJo's roadmap out of lockdown gradually opening up the country towards a new form of 'normality'... it may take longer that the June21st planned date (and some may not feel safe til next year) plus we may always have to live with some form of Covid (like winter flu) going forward... however, things do look brighter...

If all goes to plan footy & other sporting/social events are meant to open up to fans from May17th... i know we all hope that some of us can get to Alty's last game v Torquay on May 29th (plus possibly a Yeovil resheduled game on May 22nd) but was wondering if the club plans any 'Test Events' in April or early May if safe & if Trafford BC allow? Know Bill alluded to this possibilty in his matchday programme notes a few games back...

Today the govt has announced 9 Test Events with various attendance numbers, including one FACup semi with 4000 fans, League Cup Final with 8000 fans, and FACup Final with possibly 21000 fans... was wondering if any of our games before May17th maybe used as a similar 'Test Event' with say nominal crowd of maybe 400-600 at first (or whatever realistic as starting point) or even a non-football event at Moss Lane eg Annual Beer Festival or a Family Fun Day maybe around May Bank Holiday at start of May? Not sure how would pick who could attend (and some may still feel unsafe to do so) but maybe Season Ticket Holders & Patron Scheme members as think Bill previously alluded to...

Know safety will priority in any events going forward (plus Trafford also giving an official ok) but was wondering if the Club had any 'events' or games earmarked as trials before the May17th official date (if not pushed back)?  Guess lot of planning required as to whether people had vaccines, temperature tests on arrival, set walkway routes around stadium, maybe wearing masks even though outside, etc...

Just hopeful of seeing Alty (and friends) before the season ends... fingers crossed... that light at the tunnel end is getting closer... we need to ensure we head towards in a safe manner & at the correct pace as the world heads towards it's new form of 'normality'...

Altrincham FC Reserve Team / Season restart?
« on: April 04, 2021, 09:22:28 AM »
Did the Reserves play yesterday? Believe they were meant to play Sat according to a couple of mates & also bit on main 1st Team forum... struggling to find info...

Did the game go ahead and if so what was the score? Also what was the team? Did any fringe 1st teamers or ones returning from injury get a run out?

Any futures 'stars' to watch out for? Would be great if a couple of the Reserves/Youth team players made the step up to 1st team in future - these teams should hopefully allow progression of the best and be a feeder team for quality (as well as challenging in their own league)... good luck...

ALL Robins teams need the fans support... COYR!

Altrincham FC First Team / Kings Lynn AWAY Match Thread - EASTER MON
« on: April 01, 2021, 07:02:04 PM »
So we play Kings Lynn again for the second time in a couple of wks on Easter Monday... team appears quite stable at mo with probably same or similar starting XI to last couple of games...

Kosylo could make bench... assume two of three loanees have returned to their clubs as Gibson & Zouma signed 1mth loans on March 1st, whereas Ogle had his loan extended til end of season...

Predicted Team:
                       Thompson
Senior   Mullarkey   Hannigan   Connor
                     Moult    Smith
           Hardy   Hancock   Colclough
                          Piggott

Subs- Ogle, Williams, Kosylo, Ceesay, Bell

Score Prediction: KL 0-2 ALTY (Hancock, Piggott)...  COYR!

Altrincham FC First Team / Kings Lynn Away Stream - Easter Mon
« on: April 01, 2021, 02:34:58 PM »
Here's the link to the Kings Lynn away stream from their twitter account... usual sign up & give details before pay... looks like cost is £12... think i may stick with Radio Robins...

https://twitter.com/officialKLtown/status/1377606677768339456?s=20

NB RR is free, as is Alty Matchday, twitter, etc... COYR!

I usually post details of AWAY game club streaming info on this forum... however, after checking, Maidenhead on Sat will not be streaming our game so we unfortunately cannot buy the game to watch... see below info link...

https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/maidenheadunited/news/our-home-fixture-against-altrincham-is-selected-for-tv-coverage-2600379.html

The reason for this is the game has been chosen to be screened live at 6:15pm by BT Sport... so if you have access to BT Sport you can see our game, but if not looks like Radio Robins is the way forward to hear live coverage... or Alty twitter or Matchday for match updates... COYR!

Altrincham FC First Team / ALTY v Kings Lynn Match Thread
« on: March 21, 2021, 03:22:37 PM »
Well God knows what the team will be after so many changes over recent games & loanees coming in to help with injuries... assume Smithy still injured & know Kosylo out for his 2nd game of two due to reaching 10 yellow cards...

This is my guess...

                            Thompson
Richman   Mullarkey   Hannigan   Connor
                         Moult   Williams
              Ceesay   Hancock   Colclough
                                  Bell

Subs: Senior, Ogle, Hardy, Peers, Piggott

Score prediction: Alty win 2-1 (Bell, Hancock)

Hoping for a win, but need to start finding the net... COYR!
