Thanks Gary - your IT skills on keeping this forum going are appreciated by many...

The forum is great; as lets fans communicate, let off steam by venting, pass on info, discuss matches, & reminisce about past history, etc... it is also great just for a read every few days about latest Alty topics, etc...

Thanks again!

Hi there,

If u are still looking for these prints i put info about them on my twitter feed couple days ago but appreciate some don't do twitter or if do don't follow me on it...

Anyway, here's link direct to artist James Muddiman's website where he sells prints for £15 (club sold prints for same £15 or framed £35)... he also on link does canvas & mugs with design on...

NB he said can provide club with more copies as sold out from club shop so i've forwarded on info to club so hopefully they may arrange to get more in... in case they don't or if club delay u can go direct to artist via link to website (or even message him via his twitter which is attached to one of two links below)...

Hope this helps... :)

Cheers,
Phil (InterAlty)

                             Bryne

Barrows  Mullarkey  Baines  E.Jones

               Osborne  Lundstram

             Kaja  Pringle  Colclough

                    Sami/Goodson

Kaja deserves a start after Tues, Sami or Goodman up top deserve a look, Pringle behind striker, Bryne in goal as vocal & commands defence... Barrows & Kaja pushing down one wing plus Eddy Jones & Colclough other...

Hoping get 1st win (even if scruffy one) to get us going & build confidence...

NB Dag+Red aint much higher than Alty & infact have lost more games...

Season so far...
Daggers: DLDWLWLL (17th - 8pts)
Alty: DDLDDLLD (23rd - 5pts)

Hopefully of a win...
D&R 0-1 ALTY

If pushed to pick a team for our next match i'd stick with the previous 4231 formation of recent yrs & go with...

                           Bryne

Barrows  Mullarkey  Baines  E.Jones

               Osborne  Lundstram

             Kaja  Pringle  Colclough

                    Sami/Goodson

NB got to try Kaja from start, plus give Sami or Goodson a try up front... plus i like Pringle behind striker...

Lets hope we find that elusive win soon...

I seriously don't know our Best XI as we've used so many players & have a whopping 32 in the 1st team squad!

Going full time has not worked out so far due to various reasons... as one of only a couple of part time clubs in the Nat Lge top division it was the natural next step if we ever wanted to realise a dream of reaching the Football Lge in the coming yrs... no-one thought it would be easy & maybe take 5-10yrs of steady building to hopefully achieve but no-one thought we'd be near bottom of the league - most predicted mid table finish (like prev couple of seasons) then push on towards playoffs next season then higher...

It is early days but we seem to have gone from one of the best part time playing squads to what appears an average full time one made up of mostly young players who may develop in coming yrs (confidence must also be low at present)... losing almost 2,000 worth of Alty appearances by those who left &/or couldn't commit to FT has been immense, plus ACL big injuries to Marriott & Kosylo (two of our better players) plus losing another Mooney to Southend, plus international clearance issues with our new keeper have not helped...

Yes, there has been a big squad overhaul of 21 players out & 16 in, plus use of loanees, but no-one expected this... Parky aint helped himself as constantly changing large numbers of matchday team - he needs to pick an XI & stick with majority (say 9or10) if not all so can gel as a team... our defence aint been great but having 1st choice keeper back will help as he's vocal & commands the defence...

However, our main problem in recent yrs is finding a striker to score goals... recently it has been mainly midfield players scoring... Hulme aint scored many since his return, Dinanga struggles, Kaja looked good as a sub on Tue eve but Parky needs to start him plus try new strikers Goodson & Sami - may not be the answer but they need to be given a chance... bottom line is any team without a good striker will struggle...

At the mo, going full time & the massive squad changes appear not to have worked so far, but here we are & we need to get on with it... Parky needs to stick with a settled team so they can gel... not looking good at mo but a win from somewhere may change it all around & give the team renewed confidence... i'm still optimistic & believe in Parky & the Mgmt team...

Whatever happens, we'll always support Alty... football, like life, is a rollercoaster ride of ups & downs - it maybe a tough time at present, but we'll get through this!

Hi all,
I must admit i have not posted on here for a while as i have been concentrating on recovering from heart surgery & also been focusing on my own twitter BUT this has made me really mad...

Now, firstly i have not seen any of what has been apparently posted & am going solely on the above BUT if true it is disgraceful...

I was only singing Erin's praises earlier, but reading things like this makes me angry...

Erin is a young fan and the future of our club... she has had lots to deal with herself & still been able to focus on promoting all things Alty & this includes the Ladies team & womens football in general... she has also recently enjoyed supporting & promoting England's Lionesses in the present Euros tournament (which we could win).

Despite her age, she has a goal of achieving further media aspirations in the journalism side of football (& hopefully with Alty)... she has a great twitter account, been involved in various podcasts, writes articles in the matchday programme, interviewed Alty mgmt & players/staff, today helped with Alty TV commentary, plus still finds time to play football for a team & help groundstaff via forking the pitch at H/T etc... she also won a social media award for her twitter account & was recognised as Alty's Fan of the Year last season... PLUS as start of this topic mentioned she was highlighted on BBC in a Euros game at H/T promoting the club we love...

I could say far far more, but you get the drift... in short Erin is amazing at championing all things Alty both mens, womens, youths, juniors etc as well as womens football in general...

She is a true football fan, living & chasing her dreams!

Erin is the future and i personally see only great things ahead for her...

We need to be celebrating people like Erin & be happy that she is doing all she can to promote the club we all love!

Anyway, i guess i have had my rant... i hate 'trolls' & people trying to knock someone down for doing something they love... if you really support Alty then you support the WHOLE Alty family... womens football will continue to grow & everyone should embrace that fact and support those fans at the forefront of this drive (and all things Alty in general)!

Yes, people are entitled to their own views, but seriously, this is the 21st century but some still need to come out of the dark ages!

To close, i simply say... KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK ERIN!

After the Stockport performance it is clear that 5 at the back does not suit us & seemed to show Parky going for more in defence as we've been on such a poor run... also seemed to show that we obviously have no number9 (even more evident after recent loans out)... in short we need to play our usual formation starting with a back 4...

I'd go with...

Team:

TT

Senior
Mullarkey
Hanningan
Hampson

Moult
Marriott

Kosylo
Pringle
Colclough

Hancock

Subs: Drench, Densmore/Digie, Porter, Furman, Leitch-Smith

NB if Hampson unfit then would start Dens at RB & switch Senior to LB...

Also believe Marriott must start as in form plus why bother getting him if not to be used... also if Mooney fit would start him...

Need to bounce back & show some character after such a poor run (think 1 win in 15 & out of 3 Cup comps)... normally would hope to win at home but in circs would be happy with draw... plus the performance must improve!

I'd like Alty to get an 'easy' home draw v lower non lge so can get thru to 1st Rd proper then get money spinning TV game v big EFL club away...

Would like Atherton Colls (if they get passed Marine in replay on Tues)... but probably end up with usual ie either York, Chester, or Stockport...

We should fear no-one way we are playing! :)

Heard from a source (mate at Ashton) that Jordan Hulme will be signing for Ashton Utd on loan this afternoon... not sure how reliable info is but if true should be confirmed eitherway between 2-3pm...

As much as Jordan left us bit in lurch on eve of previous season start (& we've not really filled the striking void since) i wish him well if true... just glad he wont be playing against us!

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Wealdstone Match Thread
« on: September 14, 2021, 04:51:42 PM »
Personally think it's all irrelevant about whether it was a pen or not or whether it was a red card or not... main issue (like last season) is actually putting the ball in the net...

We should have been out of sight by time of pen with all the chances we created... we could easily have been 3or4 up by time of pen... various people missed chances, but Dinanga had by far the most & on another day could have had a hattrick...

Finding someone who can finish all the chances we create is our main problem area... we can debate whether we persist with Dinanga or give Peers or Leitch-Smith or someone else a chance up top, but this still needs resolving...

It was a frustrating afternoon all round, compounded by the loss of young Connor Kirby to serious injury...

One final thought - really impressed by how welcoming Wealdstone were as a club & by their fans plus all the fundraising they have done for Connor since is amazing!

Assuming the same LBs still injured (Hampson, White, Dens, Fitzpatrick) & with make shift RB Jackson suspended after his late red card assume defence picks itself (if Hannigan fit - heard had bad migraine & was unwell, some say even sick on pitch... hopefully ok)... if Hannigan unfit then Moult could drop into CB & Furman start alongside Pringle...

Assume Pringle comes in for Kirby... then Mooney & Colclough need to start on each side of three behind striker... that leaves no.10 (middle player of 3 behind striker) & no.9 spots in question... does Kosylo still start behind striker or bring Hancock in... then there is the bigger call at no.9 ie stick with Dinanga or bring in either Peers or Leitch-Smith...

I would personally make change, but Parky usually stands by his players longer... also get it that if dropped Dinanga it would hit his confidence & maybe effect him for good then we're again looking for someone to fill problem spot of striker & bag the goals... however, he may also loose confidence if stays in team & continues to not take chances (& he had a few against Wealdstone)... think Parky will start him on Tues but if does not score before 65/70mins can see Peers or Leitch-Smith coming on...

Predicted Team...

                       Thompson
Senior   Mullarkey   Hannigan   Bunney
                    Moult   Pringle
       Mooney   Hancock   Colclough
                      Leitch-Smith*
*think Parky may stick with Dinanga

Subs- Williams, Furman, Kosylo, Peers, Dinanga

Predicted score: ALTY 2-1 Kings Lynn (Mooney, Colclough)

Connor update just been put on Alty website...

Following the serious injury suffered in the second half of yesterday's 1-0 defeat at Wealdstone, Connor Kirby was taken to St.Mary's Hospital in Paddington and has a double compound fracture of his left leg.

Club Director, Neil Faulkner and Football Director, Rob Esteva accompanied Connor to the hospital & his girlfriend arrived at 10pm to be with him.

The 23-year-old midfielder, who has had such a positive start to the season will be operated on today and will be in hospital for 5-7 days.

Everyone at Altrincham Football Club wishes Connor well with his operation and that he is able to make as speedy a recovery as possible from his serious leg injury.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Wealdstone for their help and support in ensuring that Connor, whose birthday was on Friday, received the help he needed.

Our talented medical team of Ryan Murray and Ryan Spencer, who were quick to act as per usual, ensured that the Harrogate Town loanee will get the best possible chance of returning to the pitch as soon as possible.

Further updates will be provided in due course.
