£52k pa. Course he went. How many years has he got when he can pull in that sort of bread?

JJ was a cracking player for us, who entertained and put his heart into every game he played for us.  Not happy with the songs against him today - agree Back Roads - any one of us would take the money if raising a young family and quite right too.  Does every player who ever moves onto another club have to be branded Judas? Rather than showing a bit of appreciation for the contribution they have made - and JJ made a huge contribution to the revival of the club these last 3 seasons. Its either irony or it isn't very classy

Andrew Dawber was as much use as Princess Leiea....
[/quote

That's outrageous, Princess Leia was a courageous and selfless space age warrior leader and role model for strong women everywhere!

Dawber meanwhile was last reported to be at Charnock Richard - a suburb of Chorley - in the North West Counties league - but doesn't appear to have played a game of competitive football since he played for us.   ;)

He's everything Parkinson isn't in public. Both Chester managers relish the limelght as much as any aspect of the job. When things are going well and have cash to spend. It's easy to be like that.

Even if Jordan has no intention of joining Chester, or if he's not even available, he's attempting to unsettle us.

I've stood on dog turds that had more class than Johnson and Morley.

How would you tell the difference?  ;D

Routine win but an important one none the less. Jordan Hulme can't buy a goal at the moment - he is playing superbly week in week out and is consistently a class apart - probably got more assists this season than anyone else - but the ball isn't rolling for him chances wise.  When he does get one come his way he will probably break the back of the net.

Might have been underwhelming, but professional display, they played within themselves and hopefully will have the legs to go for 3 points on Tuesday.

Noticed Nicky Clee came off at half time - wonder if he was told about Jordan Sinnott and didn't want to play on - which would be understandable because he will have known him pretty well from their time here.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. He was still a boy really when he first played for us - only 18 - you could see his class and talent but he never really got going with us.  Seemed like a lovely lad though.

I just can't get over how sad this is - he had his whole life ahead of him and some thug has snuffed it out - I hope whoever it is goes down for a long, long time  - its just awful.  Thoughts and prayers with Lee and all the family and rest in peace Jordan Sinnott - am sure the club will offer the family their condolences and support through what will be a terrible time - nothing worth for a parent than to see your child pre-decease you

Surely Jabba the Hut would have to be Kyle Perry at his widest.  Given that it is established that the Jedi are the bad guys from our perspective, then Kingy in his terrifying prime would have to be Darth Vader.  The late, great Mal Bailey at his hairiest would be a great Chewbacca.  Chris Senior for R2D2 or maybe Yoda.  This is all a bit confused!

Need a strong performance and a good win to revive our play off campaign. We need to be patient, and have confidence that our class and ability will be the difference over 90 minutes.  This is the team to do it against-  thought take it for granted that Nicky Clee will play a blinder - he seems to get a bit of stick from some of our fans these days, I hope it is all good natured banter because he really was one of the best and most loyal players we have had at Moss Lane in the last 25 years - and a joy to watch on his day - not today, hopefully.

I'm going for 3 1 t Alty - Jordan Hulme 2, Willo 1 (!) - Clee to score from a free kick near the right corner flag.  Attendance  1186

Come on Alty!!

Wish I could have been there Mrs B.  Hope it was a really good turnout. For those who could not attend, are the plans for the stadium going to be shared online so we can all have a look. and share our thoughts?

Good luck Craig, and welcome to the best non league club in the world.  You've joined at a perfect time, we are up for a major play off push, we have a board with bags of ambition, and we have a management team as good as any in non league, who look after and value their players.  If you put in a decent shift every time you play for us, you will also find that you've the best bunch of supporters in non league behind you, and you will  have a terrace chant dedicated to you in no time!

You've got fantastic pedigree, and years left on the clock, and you've a chance to really prove yourself in a great team that will bring the best in you.

Exciting times ahead Craig  :)

Property developer buys football club

Indeed. What could possibly go wrong there?!

Seriously, I like County as a club, they have outstanding support, who are mostly pretty positive about our friendly rivalry, and, much as it would be wonderful for us to play them in the National League year in year out, they deserve to be back in the football league.  That said, going full time immediately could rebound on the club - they have a good squad and disrupting that at this stage of the season would be extremely risky.

I just hope this backer is serious about growing the club.

I think the fact that the club is bringing people together to discuss their potential plans is a really good thing.  It indicates to me that the club wants to engage with, and consult, supporters, which is what it should be doing.  Being based in Leeds means I will not be able to get over for this myself, so I do understand the frustration of those long distance supporters who feel aggrieved that they cannot participate, however, I do think that there are other ways to consult and engage, and I would hope that I will have plenty of opportunities to submit views and ideas through other channels.

Whilst in theory screening on t tinternet seems like a good idea, I do know from my experience that the likelihood of it being a less than ideal experience is pretty high - if it is going to be interactive, how do you know who wants to speak when, and how do you prevent it from descending into chaos?  if it isn't interactive, then you cannot contribute anyway.

So perhaps if someone at the club can come up with alternative consultation channels for this important and fascinating initiative, then this will allay the concerns of those who cannot travel to this meeting.  A commitment before or at the meeting to ongoing engagement and consultation will be helpful in itself.

Interesting points Leeds, but why do you think the sponsors stand/lounge needs replacing?

Mad Frankie - the stand is ok in itself, but the main stand is showing its age and is nearly 60 years old.  I think the main stand would have to be replaced, and in that event, it would make sense to build one continuous stand down that side of the ground.  I would say this is down the list of priorities unless we draw United in the 3rd round of the fa cup next season, City in the 4th, and Liverpool in the 5th - but we need to do this at some point.

Just a personal view of course and just adding to the discussion

Agree with most comments, and yes it is hugely welcome that the club is thinking positively and ambitiously.

IMO we need to at least maintain the current capacity, and ideally increase it - if we progress higher - which we will do - the Guiseley crowd of 4633 will be nothing compared to what we could get if we are - for example - in the National League play offs.  There was loads of room for more at that match in the away end but also in the pop side and the gold road.

We can increase the terraced capacity of the golf road with steeper terracing - the home end at Southport comes to mind.  Similarly, the Pop side terracing starts 10 feet back from the barrier - so there is plenty of scope to re-terrace and build in seats behind - like the idea of keeping to corner all terracing - this would be great for home fans but gives us scope to use as overflow for big matches-  Stockport the obvious one.

Libero corner largely dead space so yes that needs work, and in an ideal world with sufficient funds covering chequers end and probably re-terracing makes sense.

All the turnstiles need to be replaced, that probably needs to be high on the list actually.

Ultimately, we probably need to replace the main stand and the sponsors stand and lounge altogether, but that would probably be the biggest cost of all.  All of this would take years to do, and we need to prioritise the must do first - turnstiles, toilets, catering facilities for example - then one end of the ground at a time.

I would love to fast forward a few years to see what the ground looks like - sort of thing I have been dreaming about since I was a boy.

Really feel for everyone who has travelled up for this - why was it called off so late? The players as well.  Was there actually a pitch inspection earlier when they confirmed it was on just after lunch?

These are people with day jobs and lives travelling in work time to get to this match - it should have been called off first thing or even yesterday.  Weather across Yorkshire has been shocking for last 3 days.  I don't imagine it was any better in the north east, and I know from a friend in that neck of the woods that it was a deluge yesterday and similar today.

really made a mess of cutting and pasting for last comment - still haven't got the hang of it - apologies all.

I did want to add totally agree with comments re lack of turnstile operators. It is getting embarrassing seeing the queues at every home game, and hearing the growing and completely understandable disgruntlement in the queues.

I did the turnstiles myself for about 3 years from 2012 to 2015 and only stopped because i had nowhere to stay for midweek games due to close family bereavements.  Back then, George Heslop organised the turnstiles, and there were never less than 7 or 8 gates open - including 1 or 2 at least at the away end.

I am really happy to help again in whatever way i can - i just need to know who organises the turnstiles these days - but the club needs to put something on the website or in the next programme seeking volunteers, as it is becoming a real problem on match days.  We didn't have any away turnstiles open last Saturday, and we wouldn't expect any problems with Guiseley fans, who are a good bunch, but we are tempting fate every home match, and we cannot wait until there is an incident before dealing with this.

As for getting people to turn up earlier, totally agree, but in 40 odd years supporting the club this has never changed!
