whose taking our 60,000 pound final penalty at 10pm next tuesday then

Can we bring back Durrell on loan?

Had ice in his veins, that lad.

An air of arrogance about him too. Mostly merited.

I wonder what the Trafford BC SAG (Safety Advisory Group) would make of Moss Lane in 1936?

Bloody pitch invaders.

I would like to state categorically that there are currently NO plans afoot for a new ground.  We have a new pitch that has a life of at least 10 years and we intend to get the full benefit of it.

Work has started today on addressing the first of the issues on the ground and will continue.  We are working with Trafford BC to establish the working capacity for the next two games, and then hopefully a higher capacity for the Southend United and subsequent games.

We will keep you posted

https://youtu.be/NrbRpqGiPQQ perhaps aspirations is a more accurate word than plans.

There are plans afoot to basically build a new ground. This board are grasping the problem that has been building up for years. If we lose out on some capacity at a game that may never be, it's unfortunate but its not this boards fault.

BUT WE HAVE TO BEAT GATESHEAD FIRST!

My thoughts exactly. They have the same incentive. Underestimate the Heed at our peril…

Totally. Potentially a massive reward for the winners. Gateshead were within an ace of beating us, they'll have all the motivation required at Moss Lane.

We do but the fun of being in the hat is to get prematurely excited (sorry!)

Me too LOL

Try thinking about Nicola Sturgeon. That's surely help matters.

That kit is superb!

Yeah...was gonna say...we need a retro version of that :)

Erm, it’s Morecambe’s kit isn’t it?

It is, but it's still rather neat.

It's bloody magic.

Cheered just to see us drawn at home - cheered even more for Charlton. Huge game if we can get past Gateshead.

It's tasty and could appeal to the telly.

Geoff Street was a tall central defender and I believe that he made a total of 11 Northern Premier League appearances for Alty during that division's inaugural 1968/69 season.

He joined Alty from Southport and then moved on to Barrow for the 1969/70 season.

He was subsequently a member of Morecambe's 1974 FA Trophy winning team, in which he played alongside the former Macclesfield and Alty midfielder Dave Roberts as well as striker Tony Webber, who went on to sign for the Robins in December 1976.

Some classic 1970s hairstyles on the following photograph (Geoff Street is top left on the second row, standing next to a somewhat cantankerous-looking Dave Roberts. Tony Webber is the one directly behind the ball on the front row):
