The last games are all about getting ready for next season. To get into the group of genuine play-off contenders we need improvement in every area. Only 3 clubs have conceded more goals and that's with a team who keep possession very well.

« on: April 03, 2023, 06:29:58 PM »Ah, but here's the rub. The message to fans of teams who are losing going into the final minutes is, you can buy yourself a few more minutes if you chuck a flare onto the pitch. If you're lucky it'll miss the keeper.
I'm not saying that the ref necessarily had a choice, but he will be reflecting on how that call basically condoned hooliganistic behaviour.
You are absolutely correct, and I expect we will be hit by some sort of fine, but the ref probably had to do what he did.
And this is where an RL style hooter at the end of the half comes in. No need for someone to save a number aloft, just play until the time judge presses the button. Simple really.

The next step to be massive is half and half scarves in town centre, and programe sellers/burger vans on Moss Lane.
2x Sell Outs in a season, where we're midtable is superb.
If I ever see a half Alty half any otherclub, I shall weep.

« on: March 28, 2023, 01:55:31 PM »Grantham away in the FA Cup in the sixties amidst the foot and mouth epidemic was my coldest. Had to crouch slightly to prevent my knee caps going up and down! (know that sounds crazy and unbelievable, but true on their open end)
Tow Law away for me. I've been colder but never in the UK. I was a frozen young chap back in Feb 83. Unforgettable.
