My abiding memory of him will him be blazing over the bar at vauxhall with just the keeper to beat

A very astute piece of business.
Same... after seeing that I could no longer defend him or keep thinking that he'd turn it round at some point.

I actually agree with the sentiment of this post. We may have disdain for Rochdale, but ultimately they are  club in League 2. I wish Ryan all the best, but he went to one of our direct competitors.

Did we ever give Stockport this many? These numbers sound a little high.

Tamworth were a proper thorn in our side back then.

Just watched it, never seen that idiot who is goading the Wrecham fans before, but he looks about 32.

Exactly, a lower ranked team at home would be perfect.

Another Alty fan pointed out to me on Twitter that they also play on Tuesday... surely if there is ever a chance to beat them then it is Friday?

The upturn in form can be attributed predominantly towards the return of Isaac Marriott, surely.

Yes I agree, Marriott has been immense and so have many of the other players, but Jennings has been number 9 in our most consistent side. Surely he has made a contribution, rather than been a hindrance?

I can see why some have a different view of Jennings, but I'm in full agreement that he is the best we have had in a long time.

He holds the ball up and brings players into the game really well. He showed some of that today but was perhaps a bit less sharp than usual.

For me, it can be no coincidence that the upturn in form we have seen came after his arrival.

It's not from an actual news source, and has not been mentioned anywhere else.

I'd like to think that now we are full time, Parky doesn't need to give squad players as much of a run out in the Trophy. He's said in the past about how he used to have to look at players in games, or in evening training sessions.

Now he can see them daily. I too would welcome a first team selection against Curzon.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Buying the stream for todays game
« on: December 10, 2022, 02:40:26 PM »
"If you can" is key here, and not everybody can. Are there really people who are 50/50 about travelling to Maidstone but then think sod it and buy the stream? I think you either love an away day or you don't, some people will never travel to a game ever.

I'd go to every game if I could, but I'll probably make it to about half our away games... and I know that when I go I'll recognise the majority of fans who've made it that day.

I'm not knocking anyone in this post, by the way, I just find it hard to believe that streaming will affect our attendances too much. Also, some people will neither buy the stream or travel, they will just follow online or Radio Robins.

Interesting (although hopefully hypothetical). For me, Tony could have easily gone full time. Also, a fit White could definitely do a job.

It hasn't really worked out for him here, even if he was fit would we want him starting?
