Following on from the previous thread, what's your favourite Alty goal when we've just never looked like scoring. I don't mean like McKenna v Kettering when pressure was building, I mean when we've not even had an attack and your resigned to losing and then somehow we fluke one.

It's harder to remember thtan you think but I'll go with a couple from last season.

Joe v Northwich, we'd averaged an attack about oce every 17 mins during the match. If ever a first goal had decided a stale match that was it.

I also didn't see where we'd score at Burton until their rightback slip let in LEwis.

Anyway, Forest Green away, 2-0 down with a reserve side out, God this is tedious....

In fact FGR at home as well, the 1st equaliser was always possible but at 2-1 down I thought it was doen adn dustes til Val popped up.

And obviously Asa at Oxford as well..

According to Port chat Dave Pace has signed Jamie McGuire from Prescot Cables for a five figure fee! Obviously if you get home crowds of 300 you can afford to spend £10,000+ on young players  ::) -that's roughly what Ken McKenna cost us for Christ sake.

And according to Dazza from Kettering their star striker Rene Howe has gone to Peterboro for an undisclosed fee. Clearly in their situation they need money more than they need promotion becuase that's them f**ked now ;) Bit disengenious that as you can't really stand in a lads way I guess.

Oh and Chetser have said that SImon Yeo isn't for sale.  :-[

What's the coldest you've ever been at an Alty match?

I give you General Chemical away in the 1992-93 season, a game we won 3-0 and I think Alan McDonanld scored.

Cold beyond belief, I didn't see most of the matcha s I was huddled at the back of the only semi-warm terrace. The fact I couldn't see what was going on was ourely co-incidental!  :'(
