CONFERENCE PREM

RELEGATION

With YTFC relegated, it's now between the following for the final spot, the money was on Torquay with their 5/5 wins, but a heavy defeat to Chesterfield and Wrexham final day makes it interesting last 2.

Aldershot (York Alty) 51
York 49 (Aldershot Notts County)
Maidenhead 49 (Barnet Gateshead)

---------------------------------------
Torquay (Alty and Wrexham) 46

PLAYOFFS

Boreham Wood   +15   69 (Wrexham Gateshead Yeovil)
Bromley   +13   67 (Chesterfield Oldham)
---------------------------------------
Eastleigh   -1   65 (Solihull Halifax)
Southend United +9   63 (SC**thorpe Wealdstone)

Looks pretty much done for Southend 4 point swing in 2 games, but a win on Saturday for Eastleigh, and Bromley falling to beat Chesterfield would see them only in on GD with a draw and outside by a point.

CONFERENCE NORTH

King's Lynn Town  +37 87 (Leamington and Curzon)
AFC Fylde   +28   86 (Darlington, Curzon, BPA)

On Paper it should be AFC Fylde's title, but with Darlington and Curzon both looking to sneak into POs, it's anyone guess.

PLAY-OFFS

Scarborough      +5    66 ( Telford Banbury)
Alfreton Town   +12   65 ( Blyth Bradford Brackley)
Gloucester City   +7   65 ( Farsley Chorley)
----------------------------------
Darlington      +9   64 ( KL Peterbor')
Curzon Ashton   +7   64  (Boston Fylde KL)
Buxton      +3   64 (Brackley Chester)
Chorley          +12   63 (P'Boro Gloucester)
Kidderminster   +2   63 (Southport Kettering)
Spennymoor      -1   62 (Banbury Farsley)

The maddest PO race I've seen - Buxton have won every game for about 2 months it seems, but Brackley and Chester is a tough double header. Curzon have plowed through, but Fylde and KL could be too much). Gloucester Chorley could be a straight shoot-out.

Been a tougher transition that anticipated.

Siged some young players who may well prove themselves in the future but loanees were need to keep us up.

Haven't got a problem with the above but doesn't feel like its my team when you have 4/5 loan players in squa, even though some have been magnificent.

Big summer on recruitment front, but well done to the board and management team for season.

It's quite sad that the loan players (Sinclair, Miles, CCC) feel more like our players.

Don't f**k it up Nigel and Gary. You've ruined enough games this past 6 weeks.

Ill be delighted when this seasons over. Its felt like a huge chore punctuated by pockets of enjoyment.

Bracknel, York, Halifax away, December, York (H), but the at home match experience has been embarrassing, shambolic and I don't know if Ill buy a ST next year

Away games have been a pain to get to via trains.

Glad for the seaosn to be over

Still no reply to my complaint, been 10 official working days, but given the club operates on a match day its more.

As others have said, it's all about recruitment over the summer. Several of our recruits last summer were not fit for purpose so we have relied too heavily on loanees. I think we're all hoping for better this summer.

I think that's the nature of non-league though. Baines and Lundstram have been good signings, and we've added the likes of Eddy Jones and Regan Linney to that over the course of the season.

We've had some great loanees in the shape of CCC, Maxi and Tyrese who have all played their part.

In terms of out-and-out flops, who do we have? Brockbank, Barrows, and then Cashman from a loanee point of view.

Lots of 'jury's out' situations, but lots of cases for a stronger second season if these lads all do pre season together with the odd addition along the way.

So pretty mixed, which I suspect is what most clubs tend to find at this sort of level.

Kaja, Sami, Brockbank, the other 2 full backs.

As for previous season, any striker we took on.

I think that's a good shout too.
Better watch myself. I seem to be agreeing with your comments quite a lot recently! 😊

Careful, you might have Nigel and his bodyguard threatening you, threatening to sue who, and grabbing you a game.

Sometimes I do understand what Jordan means about this forum. Honest to God.

What exactly has anyone said that you find so contemptible?

I just think that we should be celebrating a really successful loan - rather than bemoaning the fact we did it in the first place.

I think it's the manner in which it has been pulled; seems a strange one tbh. I would have perhaps understand on the Sunday after Halifax; or when the manager was appointed, but this feels strange. Especially as we sent Cashman back, have little cover and have few players to pick from.

I would host the game at the lowest ranked Semi-Final team. Gives time to plan, but rewards clubs who take it seriously.

That's a pretty good idea, Hashtag, but much too sensible for the Blazers I would have thought.
I think it's likely to be where they're assured the best bunfight and, taking that into consideration, perhaps Crewe isn't such a bad shout after all. 🤔

I'd also make all ties at the lowest ranked team; I've not enjoyed this season (bar the cups) so runs to Sandbach and Runcorn have been nice.

i drove past the moss rose on saturday and they've got a big sign outside saying something along the lines of "since 1874.". i think that's called having it both ways isn't it?

Fair play to the match programme & website & any articles penned by a certain figure at the club & occasional habitue of this forum who always rightly refers to the ‘now defunct Macclesfield Town’. Never forget they ripped off local business & cheated the tax man and have no history whatsoever.

Much better than the nonsense shoe horned in about Wolves every other week.

Any team nane starting 'AFC' screams of being reformed

You mean like ours?

Altrincham FC would be unlikely to get through, but my first choice. AFC Altrincham would be my 2nd

I've gone with something else, as I'd hope we could do as you suggested.

AFC Altrincham

It seems Rochdale have recalled Tyrese Sinclair.

For me it highlights the potential problems caused by over reliance on loan players

If only our gate receipts were higher eh, Phil?

Glad we've waited a whole 3 minutes to annouce season tickets, an increase in gate price, and charging fans for a season card. Thatll soften the blow of losong our seasons only remaining bright spark.

Phil must be thinking what's the point with us constantly unable to name whose available at the weekend.

As for Sinclair, there were plenty of people saying he couldn't be recalled, whilst hearsay, I hope this isnt another admin error or oversight

We should recall Goodson back immediately.
