A ground were we have got nothing in the past so tonight was a good feeling.
Not the best game but 3 points is a great achievement against a part time team who would
Have been up for it at 0745
Sign of a good team when you go away and not play brilliant but get the points.
Onto Saturday in front of the TV cameras Oxford will be up for it,looking forward to it,great
Opportunity to show the rest of the NL what we are about.

Fantastic first half stop cocking about playing sideways and play attacking football
And you get the result.
2nd half we relaxed to much and invited pressure for long periods, you know there is no
Way back when you miss a penalty, stepped it up in injury time and hurt them again with our attacking football.
To tough away games coming up,but take six points from them and we will be around the
Playoffs.

@ukrainian Alty
Gutted cannot make Monday due to work
There will be tougher games to go,can we perform like that on a cold
Tuesday night in winter down in the depths of places like Aldershot(no offence to Aldershot)
Love your enthusiasm by the way and a great post earlier, but a bit early to be getting over excited
IMO next test on Monday, what a horrible place to go,on past experience horrible fans and the stewards are awful as well, unless things have changed there.

Feared the worst after they scored although there was more of a hint off a foul on the GK
Thought we defended very well after the goal.
Second half probably the best 2nd half seen by a Parky team for a long time.
Justin I thought was unplayable in the 2nd half caused there defenders so many problems
Down there right hand side,Chesterfield will be up there come May,but on today’s performance we
Won’t be far behind, get the excitement at the end,but a bit early to be singing about winning the
League,or is it?

Would love to be challenging for a play off place just think we will fall short I am predicting a 9th place finish one step further than last season in the trophy Would be fantastic and one of the big teams away in the FA cup tough expectations I know but I feel the recruitment has been spot on this year and thd above is not out of the question.

Will it be rained off?

I think it would be a first if Game number 1 in August fell foul to the weather, one thing for certain the pitch won't require a pre match water

Hopefully the rain later won't put people of turning up and paying on the gate Hopefully don't attract the wrong sort of fans tonight like we have on occasions this season.still go with my prediction of 3-1,but with an attendance of 1500.

Absolutely no idea wht kind of team PP will start with, however I think we will be to strong for them especially with home advantage
3-1 to Alty and would probably think about 1800 in attendance with 450 from Congleton

Gould; Welch-Hayes, Perritt, Baines, E.Jones; Lundstram, Marriott; Bennett; Hulme, Linney, Burgess. Subs : J.Jones (if available), Osborne, Pringle, Kaja, and a youngster (or two if James is still out)

Didn't welch-hayes go off last night with hamstring injury?

30
He played just over a minute and half over the allotted extra time

Having watched the replays now, it's clear he looks at his watch about 5 seconds before the shot leaves Alli's foot - what I can't fathom is that not one of the Halifax players would have been aggrieved if he'd have blown up with the ball in that position - and yet he's let it develop to a position of extreme controversy instead.

Why not just take the easier route as a referee?

The difference between top level referees and those at this level is often emotional intelligence - say for example one or two of our players are in his ear, he's decided to strop and drag things out a bit - and much like a dog chasing a squirrel, he hasn't really thought about what to do if the unthinkable actually happens - hence losing complete control of the subsequent shootout?

Apparently he is an EFL league one appointed referee recently officiated  a FGR game.
