A bit of a huffy puffy display after a layoff but fought well to gain another 3 points.
Harrop  was deservedly MotM and scored a superb goal

The pitch was very heavy (nobody's fault) let's hope for a dry spell. I still believe that on footballing ability we should fear no other team.

Well done lads..

Thanks Ray.
Yet again, God above nearly had his say .
I'm with you praying for a dry spell

Weren't we told that football activities would always come ahead of community activities? Looks like more lies from the board

How long did you have to wait for a drink?

We're a community club now,the football is is just a distraction, you should know this by now.

How log did you have to wait for a drink?

I thought, considering what issues we face and the recent weather conditions, it played superbly tonight.

Another three points and another step to, hopefully, the title.

Thanks to all involved; the groundsman, volunteers, those arranging loans of covers and anyone else involved.

Much appreciated , the three points makes it all worthwhile

Having just been for a walk with the dog it seems we’ve been lucky and the frost has stayed away. Just got to hope for a dry day now

I'm already praying!

The forecast for tomorrow isn't too clever. do you folk think a pitch inspection will be necessary?

Just asking as I usually set off around 12.30

No concern at the moment Ray.
All bad areas tucked up for the night.
As always though, we are in God's hands.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Inclusion and Diversity update

It was truly humbling what these local children did.  I spoke to them all and asked about their inspiration for their art, they were all so genuine in telling me how they did their designs.  I was a very proud Altrinchaminan yesterday afternoon.

The players were brilliant and were themselves incredibly impressed by the designs which showed what the young artist thought depicted Inclusion and diversity.

And we had a full crate of food donated for the Foodbank collection, many donations from all players, the Foodbank were totally delighted and the collection point is there all week at the club offices, folks if you want to still donate and help our local less fortunate families to have a good Christmas  ;)

Wow, the local inclusive yet diverse community of Alty, led by AFC, eh?

Well done Jacqui, and all involved.
What a brilliant job you and all have done with the food bank collection.
Lets try and help the less fortunate than us.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Fantasy Football - New Season
« on: December 04, 2017, 12:21:28 AM »
Points are updated accordingly, within 24 hours of full time.

It has been on the home page of the game since launch that the season would run until the end of the year. The advantages of this are numerous:

  • Players don't have to wait until August 2018 to see their feedback come into play
  • 90% of players won't use the game until the end of the season as they're too far behind
  • We can re-evaluate key players to make the game more cost effective based on mid-season performances
  • No other club in the country actively runs and promotes their own Fantasy game, a relaunch has plenty of coverage potential
  • All players get the chance to go again with new prizes (hopefully bigger)

I could go on.

It was set up to be a free-to-play, harmless bit of fun between Altrincham fans. I think it's achieved it's purpose superbly considering it's still very much in its beta stage and we are along for the ride with the game as the developers add more to the website. It was always going to be a case of dipping our toes in and learning from the first half of the season.

Turd - re. Steve Foster playing. There's obviously no issue with that. I know it's your favourite internet pass time, but please stop looking for one. If you don't agree with any of the above points you're welcome to either not play next time around or message me on Facebook, but don't leave daft, unwarranted criticism on something that's been incredibly positive just because it suits your agenda. Thanks.

I think this has been a great success.
Bit of free fun for the fans.
Why do some people have to always try and find a negative.
Thanks to all that has made this possible
Andrew you are correct.

There are a lot to us who play this game who are involved at the club.
Media, ground staff, kit men and many more volunteers , long may it continue .
Parkinson picks the team, I'm sure he never consults any volunteers before he does.

What a turnout for Andy today.
The video the family showed of Andy was so moving. They showed highlights of the Spurs game.
Good to catch up with  past Alty players .

For the family, you and Andy will always be in our hearts.

Such sad news, like MJD I was told last Thursday,  but had to keep silent.
A player who gave you everything . As a supporter, you couldn't ask for more.
He did get on the wrong side of the officials at time, but he had to show his authority.
He will be missed.
My thoughts go out to his family and close friends.

This thread should have been put to bed around the same time as the original poster by the sounds of it.

Drunken rant. We've all done it. Let's move on

You are spot on.
I apologize to anybody I have upset.
