Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Improving the website

Can we split out fixtures and results at all, going to be tedious to scroll to November decmeber etc

I can't be the only person who'd like to see the results presented in a consistent manner too - the current results are presented in the neutral [home team] - [away team] format.
I'd like to see that 2-0 means that we won, irrespective of where the game was played. Likewise 0-2 means that we lost.

That's not how the result was achieved though... 0-2 is a 2-0 away win.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Season ticket sales
« on: August 09, 2022, 11:31:01 AM »
I find it staggering that someone who's willing to pay for a season ticket to support the club would be willing to cheat them out of entry money in that way. I must be more naive than I thought.
Last season I brought the son in law when Mrs S was unable to come along. It never occurred to me to use her season ticket, he paid at the gate.

I don't think using a spare ST is an issue with friends and family, personally, the tickets been paid for.

But if we're not scanning, then people will just buy 1 ticket and share screenshots and that's not okay.

One other point about season tickets.

The ticket has a QR code on it. How come when we show it at the turnstile the person just puts a tick on a bit of scrap paper. No scanning to be seen.

Surely this procedure lends itself to misuse.

Last season your season ticket was actually scanned.

Answers on a postcard .

They shouldnt be, they should be scanning. we've implemented a new scanner on mobile phones, so this shouldnt be happening.

1. Pre-order via the website via a ticket system; for all ST/Loyalty card holders

2. Limited the pints as per above to 4 per person (people would just join the queue at the front no doubt).

3. Bring back paul as an extra bar in the corner.

Is it me, or do we always start so slowly and finish strong in games? Especially at home.

Difficult balance this. Full time football doesnít come cheap and some tough financial decisions have to be made. I agree that some people will be put off by £19 though. I thought we played well after a very sticky first 30 mins where we didnít seem to have a plan. I also thought Maidstone were a real threat, will do OK this season I reckonÖ

Casual fan will go the for the experience:

Did we win
Did they have good food and drink
Was it convenient (can they get in at 2:535/45/55 and can they get home for half 5 rather than queuing for trams from).

Winning teams with a good atmosphere will dictate whether 19 pound is good value. It was £12.50 to go RHS Bridgewater today

Relegation:
Wealdstone, Dorking, Gateshead and Maidenhead

Promotion:
Chesterfield and Solihull

Altrincham 13th - 17th if we lose Colclough

Can't see anything other than JJ and Toby in the central positions.

Which is why I think Baines might be deployed in another role at FB.

Baines can play full-back.

Seems the CSH isnít a free house then. Weíve not fallen out with Libero itís just that the club want a larger cut from the sales in the relaunched fan zone. I understand the clubs stance. From most fans viewpoint they want what Libero offered them before which was a more niche craft beer variety.
If deep 61 and Hobgoblin and suchlike spring up in the fan zone it wonít satisfy the demand. We may be jumping to the wrong conclusions and the board have something up their sleeve that will keep everybody happy. I live in hope, thatís why I stick with Alty! 🤞🤞🤞

Not to be pedantic, but a lot of those annoyed are annoyed because LIbero having seamingly been cut loose.

My view, as made to Bill and LL, was you should have tendered Libero before annoucing; not just cut them out. or if planned to cut them lose, had a plan to place them elsewhere.

Wasn't there 4 huts in Fanzone; I imagine there could be space for the LIbero line-up and then club mass-appeal stuff. People can vote with their wallets; and let the free market decide.
Hashtag I agree with your observations entirely. I got the impression Libero had been thrown out as if they'd outlived their usefulness. They clearly haven't as I anticipated using them again when the fanzone reopened and I'm by no means alone. If the fanzone is reborn with it being solely an extension of the CSH offerings, I'll be arriving later after drinking elsewhere before the game. I do like to support the club in every way I can and will continue to do so, but when it comes ale I prefer some craft.

There was a news article on the main site which announced an investor in the fanzone who was only prepared to invest if the club ran the venue. I read that as Libero eliminated to make way for Marstons who want exclusive access to the fanzone. Time will tell.

Personally that's even worse. It's not Marstons from the noises floating its Amstrong who has made a VIP lounge at 200 quid a pop without draft beer. I hold my breathe and hope he does a better job.

Can't just a stick on mural on a wall and call it a fan zone.

Dinanga will probably come on at the hour mark I would have thought.

Hope we dont have Marcus becoming the Tom Peers 68-72 minute sub; if we can spot it, I imagine scouts might.

If Marcus can stay onside; he will score a few.

Quite a poor selection.

Could you bring your own in with your fish and chips? 😊

I just wish we'd be a bit more advanced in our selections. Even on the bottled selection perhaps?
