If Alty are awarded a penalty at the scoreboard end will we all watch (including the stewards) whilst we are treated to a repeat of the Trophy farce? Seriously, if the same thing is allowed to happen again we won't be amused if the kick doesn't succeed. We need a ring of stewards the crowd side of the barriers protecting the nets. They shouldn't complain. They've got form. I hope this is included in the pre match briefing to the security staff and not left to a stand off approach. Nothing wrong with welcoming our visitors but I think we've all got a pretty good idea what will happen if the stewards take a passive stance.

Hope the club will be dangling the carrot of premier league season ticket holder price reductions as an enticement to lure some in.
At £19 a pop we won’t be getting much impulse buying from passing trade.

The dates when the Premier League are pausing fixtures for the World Cup have been announced (more accurately I’ve just become aware of them).  The first round of fixtures will be Saturday 6 August and after the 13 November there will be no Premier League games until Boxing Day. This gives every other club below PL level an opportunity to attract the floating PL fans to their games during that window. Alty will no doubt be looking to bolster attendances with United and City fans being targeted. There is also the prospect of live screening of games in the CSH and i would welcome a World Cup Alty Beer Festival somewhere in the equation. Discuss.
