I actually think that the chairman is out of his depth at National level as nice as he is

I have not posted for a couple of years but feel I must.
I am sitting in a pub in Harpurhey watching the game and I am EMBARRASSED. This is not how my Altrincham play WTF is going on??? Don't know about Tolson going but how our chairman and board can have let this so famous club sink into this mire, I don't know. Mr Rowley, with your charming smile, unfortunately it's a step to far for you, go before you send us into oblivion.
NO PASSION NO PRIDE NO f**kIN HOPE

I was 14 at the time and me and my Dad were taken by our next door neighbour Walter Baskerville who was Alty through and through. We ended up in the terracing next to the Gladys Street and were the only Alty fans in there. It was pretty scary I can tell you. Didnt Connolly their star striker break his leg in the game? Train to OT for the replay with 30 odd thousand Alty (United) fans lol great memories

As a regular reader and rare poster, I would like to put me two pennarth in.
This CSH is for the benefit of Altrincham FC, is it not? Therefore why are we looking at ONE picture to grace the walls/bar, why not have many pictures of Alty triumphs and legends around the CSH along with pictures of old Altrincham. I understand that many who use the CSH will not be football fans but surely this wonderful addition to Moss Lane (JD Stadium) needs the history of our GREAT club shown to all who venture in.
Sorry think I may have used up two bob there lol

I started in the early 70's when i asked my next door neighbour where he was going one Saturday afternoon, "going to watch the Robins" was the answer, and that led to many happy years watching "The Robins", still do now and again, thank you Walter Baskerville (God Rest His Soul) you gave a young boy many happy (and some bad ones) memories.

What great news, a lvely man, even when you are getting sprayed by bits of pie  :o, known him since the 70's when i first started watching Alty, a true legend and should have a statue of him at the GRE just about to stick a pie in his gob with his scarf dangling from his wrist  :D once again a true footballing supporter legend not just ALTY

Ah yes Winsford away, think our coach gat at least one window broke that day but my most abiding memory was a rather large Alty fan (who usde to attend with a quite small mate) getting stuck in the tiny turnstiles they had and about 4 or 5 of us pushing and pulling him to get him unstuck!!!!!! :D

Gazelle, Si used to get up to many tricks, especially when he had a few! scoops. we had got a load of beer from an offy near the bleeding wolf early in the morning as we had forgot the night before! the carrige floor on the train going was just full of toby light cans (remember Toby light) and we had just walk over them. there was me Si and Dave Stanley (Scaggs) if i remember right, was a real blast, we had many a scrape in those days, lol
