Agreed on the team, it's great going into these games knowing what our undoubted strongest XI available is.

It definitely suits us being at their place, where they'll come out a bit more rather than let us have the ball and sit in defensive blocks.

The game at their place was a great contest and I expect no different on Sunday - we'll have the psychological advantage of the bye and they'll be gutted about it.

Olomola caused us all sorts of problems that day, so hopefully we can keep him a bit quieter this time.

If ANYONE at the National League had sat back and thought about it, surely it would have been better to put the teams already through on the Saturday, and move the other one over to the Sunday.

Either way, it's better than it was a few hours ago.

It's Gateshead - they've been removed.

Solihull get a bye.

Which isnt the fair we should get the bye  in my opinion

I actually expect the club to push back here.

Surely if Aldershot aren't admitted, we get the bye straigtht through to Bromley away - and Solihill play Halifax.

I just noticed he swept up at Morecambe's player awards.

Fan's, Manager's and Player's Player of the Season.

Really pleased for him - he was really unfortunate not to have been kept on by Carlisle from what I could see.

Congratulations to Craig Mahon and his Curzon Ashton team, who have secured the last NLN playoff space.

Their reward is an away tie with Chorley.

A tough task for them  at Chorley but to make  the play offs and finishing above the likes of Chester and Hereford is some achievement. Sounds like Craig Mahon is a manager with potential .

He has a pretty good CV already, given that his other job is within the coaching setup at Wigan Athletic.

Just listening to the Ollie Crankshaw interview at HT.  Did I miss something?  His injury was way worse than just his ACL.  Sounds like he is slowly progressing.  He said September/October for a possible return.   If we can hold this lead how good would it be for him to come back to an EFL club?!  We can dream right?!

There's videos of him on his feet doing some light ball work, I'm no expert but you'd like to think he'd be in a pretty strong position come the start of the season?

Look forward to seeing him return.

i am a tad worried about the weather.  what would happen if the ref called it off?

Game will be absolutely fine - pitch hasn't been used for a while and it's a fairly bright / sunny morning.

Should be a good day for it! Let's get this done.

This is my earliest memory of the GM Vauxhall Conference - so I'll always consider these teams the 'proper' Conference clubs. Probably why I'd much rather had Kidderminster stay up than the likes of Boreham Wood.

Hopefully get 2 or 3 up and withdraw three of Amulazor, Linney, CCC or Baines.
Ruthless first half needed.

On paper I'd withdraw Alex Newby before Justin Amaluzor, the former has had a lot of minutes whereas the latter has recently returned from injury.

But the management team will have a better handle on individual player conditions - they seem pretty confident on Alex's stamina whereas maybe Justin is one you naturally protect more.

Either way, I'm glad we've started to play our strongest team and withdraw nice and early when safe to, rather than rotating from the start and running everyone close to 90.

Surely for the love of God, one of Halifax or Aldershot have got to pick up a point at the weekend... haven't they?

If it's Southend, bring it on - we've beaten them at our place in the past two seasons and will do it again.

Halifax two feeble draws and Shots to do the same - Southend to win 5-0 and be fuming!

Realistically speaking, how many times in recent seasons have Premier League teams been burdened by a replay in the earlier stages of this competition?

Probably the best example from this season was Cray Valley Paper Mills - but that was Charlton's problem, not the Premier League's.

If they were that interested in the actual FA Cup itself and the integrity of the competition, surely they recognised the jeopardy associated with playing a weakened side?

On the plus side, it might send the odd underdog through on the night. Maybe.

As much as I wouldn't have been that averse to a Gateshead victory - because I'm confident we'll win on Saturday to go Top 5 either way - last night was probably the best outcome all around given that Shots absolutely laboured to the victory unconvincingly, despite Heed having an outfield player in goal - and Heed were chasing an additional man for 45 minutes.

Those two and Halifax really aren't looking convincing at all, and Solihull not much better either.

One of them really needs to scrape through at the expense of Southend.
