World Cup Competition

Altrincham Football Club, in this World Cup year, are organising a competition with participants drawing one of the 32 teams taking part. For a £10 stake you can draw a team out of the hat with a chance of earning the top prize of £75.

The prizes available are:-

World Cup Winners - £75
World Cup Runners-Up - £25
3rd / 4th Place Teams - £10
Most Goals Conceded - £20
First team to have a player sent off - £20
There is a chance that any team can win a prize, so sign up today. Get your team allocated and help the club during the close season when finances are tight.

Please see Grahame or Karen Rowley for further details or email them at altrinchamprog@yahoo.co.uk. If we get sufficient interest we will run a second competition with all the teams being allocated again.

Various World Cup matches will be shown live in the Noel White Suite. Watch the website for details. Please support the club and try and get down to one of the games.

There is a programme tonight at 1030  on BBC1 previewing the World Cup.



However, viewers in Scotland will receive the movie "OUT OF AFRICA"

I have Spain Darren so its you against me in Semi No.2. Antony Wright has Uruguay - dunno bout Holland.
Sadly think Germans are fave to win whole thing now after way they knocked the Argies out!

So its Mike V Antony in Semi No.1 & Darren V Me in Semi No.2.
