Gents please find following a genuine offer to season ticket holders of alty for tomorrows match at vics.
The club have announced that on the production of any valid season ticket for any football or rugby club outside of the blue square north admission to tomorrows game v's Alfreton will be £5.
It is a 3pm kick off and full bar facilities will be available from about 1pm.
Please spread the word and place on any other club websites you have access to.
This is a genuine offer sanctioned by Jim Rushe which will hopefully attract a few fans who have no game for their own team.
-
Can I be the first?
Tell Jim Rushe I'd rather pull my own toenails off with pliars than support his circus.
And as if giving the madman a fiver isn't bad enough you also have to:
A) Watch Northwich
B) Watch a Conference North Game
C) Look at those factories
Thanks anyway like...
-
I'm sure our fivers would be spent well given who's running the club ::)
Sorry mate, don't mean to be harsh and sh*t all over your efforts, but giving a fiver to your lot under current circumstances is a no-no.
-
So are you coming or not !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
The forum moderators on here should really do something about this sort of thing. I'm nearly of pensionable able and supposed to be calming down a little because of the old blood pressure and then we get posters like this making me want to tell him to stick his discounted tickets back up the same orifice from where his chairman speaks.
It's just not good enough. ;)
PS: If there's any doubt about my opinion can I just say that there's as much chance of me paying (anything) to watch the Green Gits as there is of Dennis's brother getting a job as an after-dinner speaker. ::)

"don't eat the starter..thats rubbish..the main won't be much better and as for the desert its a bloody joke...its not been good for ten years in this hotel. I'm booked to do a corporate next week and I can tell you now that'll be rubbish as well...anyway...lets say Grace.."

Absolutely crying laughing! ;D

What a tempting thought.....where are those pliers I've got several toenails and a tooth to pull.
As for the £5 offer....tell Rushe to stick it up his ar$e.
And No...I'm not coming to watch your green pile of sh*te hoof the ball around in a meaningless conf N fixture..

Come on - let's be fair to Vics - this is a brave attempt to raise much needed revenue.
Just like Alty offering £5 admission to Utd. and City, this is an entrepreneurial example of trying to get funds off a much much bigger club with an exponentially bigger fan base!

Good luck for the rest of the season

I'd rather pay a fiver to not watch Vics ,unless we're
playing beating them, of course!
-
nice one Ecky...
Yes on second thoughts I'd like to congratulate Vics on this initiative to get some much needed revenue from their much bigger rivals....lets face it, they need it to continue their excellent full time forward thinking philosophy of club management.
Can I ask....do we have to arrive early?.....will 11am be too late to avoid the crush?
-
Jezza,
You will all be welcome at 11am as we are meeting to remove the pitch covers around that time and we need as many hans as possible.
Oh well at least its provided some entertainment for you all.
-
I'll leave the helping remove the covers to vics fans.....will both of you manage it?

Why have you got lots of Germans on the pitch then ?
;) :D

What a very amusing thread! Maybe we could incorporate Ecky's idea and send David to say grace at Northwich tomorrow?! Might go something like:
I've been following your plight as Alty are sh*te
I believe you're worse, can it be right?
As for the food, it looks pretty dire
Don't bloody eat it, you're bound to expire!
-
Personaly I think it shows initiative and I might have gone! Supporting the opposition of course but while that prick is in charge there is no chance of me going there unless we are playing.
In my humble opinion non league clubs should try to help each other.
When the prick has gone I for one hope the vics get promoted so we can p**s in the green and white pot again!

Good luck with that.........I'm sure it will attract a few Alty fans......or convince one or two to go who were thinking about it.

I'd be very wary about getting there as early as eleven - they might just have time to put you on an emergency registration and fit you out in green and white.........
-
im gonna see what i can do to start a similar venture at wincham park
£4.50....... and you can bring your red & white scarves & stripey tops too

I've watched Witton many times, I like the setup even if the ground is a little souless and I have a lot of time for Mark Harris.

That's completely different. I'd go there. ;)

£5 return on the bus. You'd not spend anything else since Accrington closes at teatime due to lack of interest.
-
how do u know tax phil. accrington market shuts at 2.00oclock and there is about 12 to 15 stalls. accrington is cheap an uninterested. best thing in accrington is game and gamestation. it is boring altrincham has more shops of choice.

I wonder if Accrington has a tourist office and need any staff?

I know only too well Gunners - my ex-wife's brother lives in Baxenden. Used to hate going to visit them !

Something's changed really. I would consider going to watch a Vics game if it affected Alty, as it is I wouldn't give them a single penny while Jim Rushe is in charge, that clubs conduct over recent years deserves no help whatsoever, similalry I wouldn't go to Macc at all.
It wasn't always like this though, years ago we'd happily go to another club if there wasn't a game on or we were far away. I think when we drew at Fisher in August 91 my old fella and I went to Macc v Barnet. That just seems to have changed somewhat now. Maybe because prices across the board are reducing the off the cuff decisions.
Anyone?

You're getting older, Ballers, and bitterness increases with age! ;)
I'm 59 so you can imagine my feelings on the subject of Vics and Macc - I've had over 40 years to nurture them! ::)

Ballers,
Back in the 1970s, I can recall venturing to the likes of Macc v Mossley in the Northern Premier League when Alty were on their (relatively) distant travels or even to the old Central Ground to check out Witton Albion.
I even recollect going to The Drill Field on 22nd September 1979 to watch Vics take on Worcester City in the first season of the APL, as both teams had started that season well and Alty were away at Yeovil Town.
Nowadays, I wouldn't give Vics a penny because of the presence of that charlatan Jim Rushe...
-
Apparently Bury are doing exactly the same offer on the same weekend. So, any Mancunian drifters have a choice between watching a promotion-chasing League 2 outfit whose ground is accessible by tram, or a midtable Conference North team whose ground is in the middle of nowhere.
It's a tough one ;D
-
I went to Vics v Kettering in the semi final of the APL Cup in 79/80 - winner to play Alty. Vics kicked seven bells out of Brendan Philips who as he was stretchered off was racially abused by a group of Vics fans.
I also caught the last 15 minutes of Vics v Stockport County in the CSC whilst on the way back from Middlewich (2pm kick off).
Vics won both those games - I got the hint and stopped going.
I also saw Witton beat Rossendale United 13-0 (or 11-0) in the Cheshire League one Saturday Alty didn;t have a game in 78 (or so).
Now I have no interest in football as a neutral, although if we were drawn away to a side local to me (e.g. Maidenhead) in the trophy, I might go and see them in midweek the week before).
(I have been to Beacosnfield Sycob v Paulton Rovers and Burnham v Poole both as a consequence of kids get in free promotions)
-
how did northwich vics get on against unirea urziceni. it was on granada tonight. it was a freindly.

They lost 1-0.............crowd about 280 according to sources

It's a good idea, we do it & obviously it's catching on.
HOWEVER...I'd pay a fiver to watch Stalybridge or Witton or halifax etc but vics scum slime - or Macc - no way unless we're playing them.
