Looks like we've gone  at the back as GH suggested might be the case. If this produces one of our "away" performances and three points then I'm all for it!

Come on Alty!!!!

Looking good but not counting any fowl.

Gazelle, I referred to the initial post about the goal then the continued debate about Charlton on the radio. Good luck with the diet pal, sadly Doc's Orders are usually best followed even if it is miserable.

For all their talk of domination the stats make interesting reading:

Possession
52% 48%

Attempts on target
4 2

Attempts off target
1 9

Corners
4 8

Fouls
8 6

By their own admission we have scoreed at least two "very good goals" they haven't had so much as a near miss and yet they don't deserve to be losing - he's barking mad.  Well done boys!

Quite.

Making loads of chances and missing them all doesn't mean you 'deserve' anything.

Alty seem to have taken all their chances and Salisbury taken none of them - the scoreline is completely 'deserved'.

EDIT: He's just said Alty don't deserve to have five goals. How can this even make sense? If you score five goals (without cheating or the referee making a terrible decision) then how can you not deserve them?

I suspect he's the kind of person that would like to watch a game and then decide who should win by how pretty one team's passing was.

If you score more than you let in you deserve to win.

Unable to make the game today. Bit shocked when i turned on tv and saw Altrincham 4 (Chris Senior 80) Salisbury 0.

Ecstatic now they've just put the fifth up.

Well done lads. Best result of the season so far.

Next up steve evans' Crawley Town.

Just back, brilliant result, seniors first was goal of the season candidate, densmores and clee's were outstanding too. They had a lot of possesion and passed it well to be fair, Nicky Clee terrorised there right back all game and was the difference. Brillant support by the 777 there, singers were awesome today. Good banter all game and what a result, absolutely ecstatic!

Just returned, most fun I've had a match in a while. I'm can't actually comment properly as I forgot my glasses :P but the scoreline says enough.

And respect to the salisbury keeper for applauding us at the end,at least he's got a sense of humour, even after a howler like that.

Brilliant result, when was the last time.....Cambridge I guess.......superb. Hope the school kids today were in good numbers, just the ticket to add a few to the attendance in weeks/years to come.

It was a good day with plenty of positives:-

- To put away all our chances
- Smith was brilliant, his ability to read the game and cover the back 4 is top quality (player of the seaon)
- Great to see Densmore show the form of last season
- It was good to feel a positive, fun atmosphere it had been missing for a while (porbably due to our home form)
- Doran looked very promising and lively-. Kearney seemed to have some proper hunger in the second half which was good to see

Other things i would like to say is that today proved that we can't afford to have Lawon and Danylyk in the same team as they are both players who are there to break up posssion. At this moment i would go with Danylyk.

Also, we have to stick with this 3-5-2 formation and at this moment in time i would start Clee on the left ahead of Doughty.

COME ON ALTY

Thre were about 20-25 children and adults from Worthington primary school in Sale moor my daughter's (She's the one with the alty scarf) school first time they have seen Altrincham  win. This was there 3rd visit from the school in the past 3 season's. They totally enjoyed it some of them even got invited into the home dressing room at the end to get the players autograph's.

Had to give a lift to Jennifer's Mum to Milngavie, which, for reasons known only to the Scots, is pronounced Mull-guy!

What next, Cholmondeley being pronounced "Chumley?"

The bogs in the Tesco were foul so I had to get a train to Glasgow to find some decent ones! £3.20 well spent!
