Title: Only in America....or maybe....WA15!
Post by: RedWhiteRedWhite on July 06, 2009, 04:14:46 PM

Potential idea from the land of hot dogs and the super morbidly obese!

Buy a game ticket for San Francisco Giants, watch the match...after it ends...take your tent out into the outfield, pitch up and spend the night! ( https://secure.mlb.com/sf/fan_forum/slumberparty_form.jsp )

Combined with a post game BBQ, perhaps a bit of live music...it could be a funny, end of season money spinner.

Naturally...not everything from across the pond has worked...but who knows!

Why not? People are far too uptight these days, stuck in their daily routines...
Would be a laugh and something different

I told my wife i might decide to sleep in a tent on the pitch. She was not too pleased about it.

the local school tried that here.

lesson 1) make sure there are plaenty of bogs

lesson 2) make sure ALL lthe tent pegs are off the pitch

lesson 3) don't do it again...

Oh, I can feel the Glasto Alty vibe already. Will there be some sketchy geezer on the turnstiles whispering sweet nothings at the punters "E's, skunk, speed, acid"?

We went on a tour of AT&T Park when we were on honeymoon in May. It's a very impressive stadium, just a pity Baseball is such a dull sport!
