My mate works for BBC radio nottingham is an alty fan. I think he is commentating on the game, so it wont be that bias anti-alty stuff.

Very little (no pun intended) unfortunately as it seemed to take them by surprise too, they had to wait for the tannoy announcement to know who had scored (I get the impression it won't make goal of the season, but who cares?).

Well, if we'd carried on scoring at the one goal every 11 seconds rate we started with, we would have won by 490-nil.

tried to defend a lead or succeeded in defending one?!
vague memories of Kettering away in the last Conf North season when we scored after about 2 mins and held on. Bloody awful game to watch to be honest, but a win all the same.

How do Eastbourne keep going to places like Ebbsfleet and (so far tonight) keep getting results. They looked a very poor side against us.

Would be a huge shame to lose Denham so soon, esp after we've chased him for so long. I do hope something can be worked out as the boy is class, but unfortunately it looks as if the writing is on the wall.

This is more like it though. A bit of passion and heart, we know Mansfield are a bigger, better resourced club than us, but early goal, then digging in was what got us a reasonably decent home record when we first came up, something we've definitely missed in the past few seasons

Im not saying GH is totally right here, but something tells me that denham has engineered his own demise here. in which case, is he really the man we need when its backs to the wall relegation fight? He was always going to walk away at some point if that is his attitude.
Of course, the other side is that he has been treated a bit unfairly and we've lost a class act.
Anyway tonight is about the here and now, we can only support the 11players out there, forget the rest. I am quietly sipping a nice corbieres, sourced locally at 2.70 euros a bottle (I love france sometimes!). Despite my peace and quiet and the cheap local company i'm still nervous as hell now we're winning.

Red "Costa" wine in mid Andalucia on holiday this year was superb. 14% roughish red wine perfectly drinkable for around 7 Euros for 5 litres if you took you're own container to the bodega. Marvellous.

Sounds like bliss. I have to say the spanish have something of a glut of quality reds. France is stuck in its own wine history. Practicallly impossible to buy 'foreign' red wines here. Found a nice rioja in the local hypermarche, 3.30 a bottle, very heavy, delight.

I haven't weighed in because obviously I don't get to many games....although I should get to a couple in November. All I'm saying is who would come in to a club in Alty's situation and do as good a job and be as dedicated to the club?!! I suppose what I'm saying is you have to be careful what you wish for. Having said that according to my Old man who does go to most home games, Denham has been the best player this season so getting him to stay would be great news added to tonights win.
