You can understand us being behind given that we have such a weak side out.

I think the scoreline might provide a small hint.

Yeah but I mean have we played well and just been unlucky, or have we been utter pants and deservedly behind?

If a strong Alty side can't conjure up a goal in this fixture we really are in the sh*t!

Sorry mate, couldn't resist!  ;D

Genuinely don't know but I would have thought, given the strength of our lineup, that we have been seriously below par.

**EDIT** We have apparently been awful

No problem mate!!!  :D

I agree there, though - it certainly seems that saving my £12 was a wise decision

Theres more online now than that of Saturday !!

So, are people interested in the game as in Altrincham FC are playing a fixture, or the game to see how we fair ? I'm both....

I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far, Gerrard's first goal was quality!

Should never have had to retake it, the Marseille defenders were the ones encroaching! Hardly as if Liverpool gained an unfair advantage from it was it?

Alty365 - fantastic finish by Gerrard - thought the keeper could have done a little more though!!!  ;D

Congrats mate, good luck to you both.

Predicting another Peakathon here but is it just me who wants us out of this silly competition as soon as possible? We could be having a proper training session geared towards Saturday tonight. Instead with about 180 there we are risking injuries to players, and more pertinently losing money on staging a fixture.

I never want to find out. Thankfully, my other half isn't obsessed with shopping so I've got off quite lightly there!

This is another reason why I am so desperate not to end up playing regional football again. It's hard enough to get to games as it is (as you can appreciate also).

Yes it was a win in the end (technically a draw in normal time which is quite appalling) and hopefully it will be the catalyst for us to go out and win 3 points on Saturday.

To answer a few questions on this thread. Joe O'Neill and Chris Senior came on at half time for Colin Little and Warren Peyton, Greg Young went on after about 70 minutes for Kevin Street.
Yes, Pat Mc Fadden did play for them but was substituted in the first half because he hurt his foot and couldn't continue.
