Nantwich have about 400 with green and white wigs and a drum .. They taking it serious ...
We are being cocky and big time arrogant "1-0 and we still don't care"

as Joe has just said to me this is what it must be like for the likes of Torquay when they play us .. barr wigs and drum of course ... he he

and Gazelle - Ronaldo has done sod all in the Man U match so still hasn't proved himself against the bigger teams. How many players has he took on and beat ? .. and I'm not against ronaldo at all as remember I hate England Football Team and he p8ssed them off  ;D ;D

based on your opinion and cote's lack of adventure ronaldo is probably on a par with Carlos Logan and would get two run outs for the last twnty minutes and released to play for barcelona curzon Ashton
Title: Re: any news yet from the salt mines
Post by: gazwarrington on April 01, 2008, 09:17:12 PM
Not at all. He's a good player but just don't think he's 'as good' as what everyone says. The Premiership, barr 4or5 clubs is a very weak league.

Brown's not had a bad game today. He's good but not international class & no more than a squad player for a team like Alty United.

Post by: gazwarrington on April 01, 2008, 09:22:45 PM
Nicky Daws, Sharratt, Ellison ... Come on he's nowhere near them  ;)

best player I have ever seen live is Jurgen Klinsmann, runs for 90mins to get space ..  Jogs from one touchline to the other and then suddenly sprints and creates space for himself. Pure class.

Jim
thought he was talking about me then until he said sprint. i could always make space usually beer breathe on a sunday morning was enough.

GW
the week league thing doesnt work with me as it is probably still the strongest league in the world bet you cant name another with more than 4 top class sides.

I daresay, however, the players are more interested in not getting injured.

I think Stu is one of them keepers, if he goes the right way, unless it is hit hard and deemed by all as 'unstoppable', he'll save it.
and probably nantwich had to score their 5th to win, alty taking first, so there is no need in us taking out last, as they would win anyway.

BRIAN LEBOUTILLIER
Longstanding supporters of Altrincham FC will be interested to hear that the former Robins' forward Brian Leboutillier has been in touch with the website. Brian, who made a number of first-team appearances for Alty in the 1979-81 period, is now living in Salisbury, Wiltshire where he holds a senior position with O2(UK), the communications company. He came to Moss Lane via local football after playing for Heys Albion. Brian maintains his football links by managing Bemerton Heath Harlequins Reserves, who play in the Jewson Wessex League -they won 5-2 last weekend! He sends his best wishes for Christmas and New Year to all at Altrincham FC and hopes to make a visit to Moss Lane in January or February.

i found the answer in our honours page that isnt on the main site but is somwhere in space.

you were eligible to enter  the edgar case cup if you were a team whose name began with A and were based in broadheath . unfortunately we usually got beaten by the atlantic club and famously arrys chippy (1897) who were dissapointingly thrown out for cheating two years later. amilton accademicals were runners up one year but were late for the kick off as they were near stonhenge looking for salisbury rec at the time

200 quid? That'll be the combined revenue through the away turnstiles next season from Gainsborough, Hucknall and Alfreton if we go down OR what we will get off York fans on programme sales if we stay up. No brainer for me tonight, should have binned it off with kids/reserves where we could.

Minimum? Stat suggests Lower Peovior Albion reserve Xi would get a £200 fine whereas we would be in the frame for enough to keep our friends at the swamp afloat for a season.

what helps with back pain is regular exercise, treatment from an osteopath and doing mobility and strength exercises eg. pilates

and diazapam

Resting injured players has been misused for years.
Biggiest culprits are Rangers. They withdrew players from Scotland's last match yet they were fit to play for Rangers both Saturdays preceding and afterwards which just happened to ba a match with Celtic.
They once withdrew all 4 of their players  from Scotland's Euro 1988 qualifier in Bulgaria (all 4 were regulars in Scotland's first team). Yet all 4 played for Rangers the Saturday before and the following Satuday, as all 4 made miraculous recoveries in 2 days. Scotland could no longer qualify, but the match was important as Bulgaria only needed a point to qualify. What actually happened is Scotland fielded what was in effect a reserve side, but against all the odds substitute Gary Mackay of Hearts scored a last minute winner. The implication was that the Republic of Ireland finished top of the qualifing group ahead of Bulgaria - something not celebrated by Rangers followers.

Yes, last week United did that. Ronaldo and Nani both picked up 'thigh strains' in the win over Liverpool, thus not being able to play for Portugal. Although, judging by his lack of action, Nani's looks genuine, Ronaldo was fit again for the weekend.
