but no shots on target.

Stafford 1 down - but I'm not sure that is so important these days!

Title: Re: Live radio commentary

Remember we are a second half team these days
Title: Re: Live radio commentary
Post by: jhcorbett on March 29, 2008, 03:52:43 PM
4-5-1, I think.
I'm guessing it's:

                               Coburn

Shotton(RB)     Tinson     Young      Lynch(LB)

 Lawton(RM)  Tansey      Owen         Turnbull     Peyton(LM)
                                Little

I think both new loan players are centre mid, so Robbie on RM

5 in midfield seems to be getting us a lot of possession, but not creating many chances (sounds familiar?!)

Post by: Dougals Dad on March 29, 2008, 03:58:25 PM
Thanks.

I notice Oxford have significantly more possession & shots than Vics - lets hope they can convert that to goals.

Much closer the Exeter v Halifax game

SW commentators seemed bemused as nothing in the game suggested any bad stuff during the game.....they said one of their players said something to Graham Barrow and it all kicked off from there.....sure Tunnel Steward can fill us in later....

It'll be their Billy Big Boys attitude they display, yet again they mouth off prior to a game they don't win. Well done Aldershot.

Anyone but Turkey for the play offs.

that sounds about right - difficult to tell over the radio, but they said it sounded pretty bad, with players getting involved. No doubt the FA will get involved, they are sooo well organised and usually make the right decision (I don't think).

I estimate....

18 Weymouth 39 -21 36
19 Altrincham 41 -25 36
20 Farsley Celtic 39 -25 36

21 Halifax 38 -7 33
22 Northwich 38 -25 33
Stafford & Droylsden

Title: Re: Live radio commentary
Post by: hsmith1 on March 29, 2008, 05:08:30 PM
radio has just said that it was an aguament between both teams coaching staff, then most of the players got involved.

Radio Devon again just said twice they dominated Alty and twice THEY let it slip, what bull, they never looked like beating us at Torquay and we dominatede today.
Title: Re: Live radio commentary
Post by: Dougals Dad on March 29, 2008, 05:09:49 PM
I still go for the "We should be beating part timers like you" attitude from Tall key!

GH especially is a very proud man & he & GB will have been standing up for their club.

or the Tall-key bench accused one of the Alty bench of doing an SBD

Info anyone on the row at the end?

It was a bit more than just a row.. don't know what the radio coverage had to say but there was at least 20 people involved.
Looked to me that it was the Torquay coaching staff that kicked of (though that may be a slightly bias point to make considering I was at the opposite side of ML at the time) Looked to be all out of nothing, but escalated far too quickly with 2 or 3 quickly turning into 20+ in about 30 seconds, similar to the scenes at the end of the game vs Vics at their place.

Just got to wait for the referee's report to see if we did enough for a fine or not!

Whilst not as suggested by Gazelle gagged by the Official Secrets Act (Altrincham FC Chapter) I am not inclined to say very much as I am far, far too embarrassed about the actions of certain individuals.
