Doesn't he make you proud to be Alty?

I thought Graham H came across very well when interviewed again - some good memories of Kingy banging on the away dressing room door. Top stuff. Would have much preferred to see more of Graham H than Frank Sideboards.

COME ON ALTY!

Quite frankly (excuse the pun) Sidebottom's bit was embarrassing! GH always comes accross well on TV.

I liked the pics of Steve Evans having a strop - I hope the Conference throw the book at the pillock.

Anyway, I get the telly, so Ruby's mum gets the computer.

My computer is having none of it either,  doesn't have the right "protocol" to support it or something.....

Brother in law on the phone just now watching it in his living room in Stockport, says we've hit the bar.....

We did indeed hit the bar, but they missed a sitter - straight at Stu when all on his own from 12 yards

0-1 good finish from outside the box but we should have cleared it better - it came out to him from a challenge in the box

Woking just seem to have some kind of voodoo over us or something :(

we've had plenty of effort but too many long balls going astray in the swirling wind and those that don't are met by big centre halves.

2-0 down.

Battersby at fault for their second - diived in for an interception in their half - never looked like getting it and they had two free down the right!

2-1 Colin Little - great first touch and better finish!

O'Neil on for Battersby - Toulsen to right back

Title: Re: link for tonights game
Post by: Bath Alty on January 31, 2008, 09:13:00 PM
Jennings booked - very late challenge but he sort of slipped into it - no real intent

GH - defending like a Sunday park team for their goal.  Get at them more, go 343 and they look vunerable

Now Logan on for Senior

O'Neil doing a good job winning the odd header giving us a breather,  we still look marginally more likely to get the next

Little great ball for Logan with decent cross into an empty box.  No-one had chance to catch him there

The new Woking guys up front are causing trouble on the break

2-2 FT good come back and entertaining second half - well done lads

Toulsen carried off after mad rush tackle from centre forward, he was booked but Parker reckons it was a good tackle - uteer pish!

Great result that. I think we have showed sh*tanta, that they need to show more of our games with a great come back like that.
Lets hope we carry on with good proformances like this.
Title: Re: link for tonights game

Indeed a good game and comeback - if we keep picking up a point a game there's no way Farsley will catch us

Just seen replay of first goal and battersby dived in again as the winger went passed him.  I'd get get Lane back in.  GH seemed non to impressed either, another mention of park team defending in the post match interview.

Shotton's finish was also top class.

Toulsen was still hopping about in the dressing room not putting any weight on the bashed leg

Ok result. Obviously not there but we really need to win games like this. With all respect to Woking of course.

Draws took us down in 99-00
Title: Re: link for tonights game
Post by: Bath Alty on January 31, 2008, 10:07:51 PM
We did play well and GH said it would have been stopped if it was a boxing match but I think that's a bit OTT.  We are only the 4th team to score two against Woking this season, same old problem one mistake = one goal against.  Much less of them since Christmas and much more fight to recover from them.

Frank Gray - "bitterly disappointed, another 5 or 10 minutes and we'd have got more goals"  "sloppy sloppy goal from our point of view" talking abour Colin's which was nonsense.

Gave no credit to Alty at all for the come back - no surprise there.

I don't think you are giving Woking the respect they deserve. Look at the results they've had recently. Apart from the FA trophy defeat to Aldershot they've had decent results. Their last defeat to anyone other than Adershot or Torquay was against Grays in mid-November.

I think we have to look at this as a good result against a decent team and a great platform for the two important games coming up. They're important for us but massive for Droylsden and especially Farsley.

Come on Alty!

Toulsen carried off after mad rush tackle from centre forward, he was booked but Parker reckons it was a good tackle - uteer pish!

Parker is right in so far as he got the ball, but the intent was to get the man - and he did! It was a potential leg breaker.

Plenty of character from the team.
Only Battersby looked off the pace.
Just 1 real defensive mistake - punished as ever!
Some very good performances; notably JJ, Ryan, Young and, of course, Col.
Decent cameo by Carlos at the end
and
GH got the "Part-timers" line in again!

Toulson went to hospital for an x-ray after the match last night, Alty physio thinks there is a chance he's broken his leg.

Gutted if he has  :(

Went to the game last night with a couple of mates.  Really enjoyed it and whilst I can't make Droylsden away I'll be back for the Farsley game.

I thought Woking were sh*te and got away with it to be honest.
I thought your Right back was crap and needs replacing.
I'd describe last nights referee as the Conference equivalent of Rob Styles, incompetent.
Loved the "midget/dwarf" chant to their right winger.

Carry on playing like that and you'll stay up.  Thoroughly enjoyed the night despite freezing my wotsits off.

Agree with that but as it was only his third game for us you have to give him a chance.

He's really a double agent for Dino.

Dino Maamria was sitting in the Main Stand last evening.

He looked rather content with things....until Ryan Shotton equalised!

I get free football on my PC using  www.football4less.com go to the weekly schedules and you get world wide football. You can download quite a few drivers I prefer Sopcast to TV ANTS.

I can quite assure you that draws would keep us up in this years embarrassment of a bottom 6 league.

Edit just checked. We took 15 points from our last 17 games in 1999-2001. Same again would this time round would give us 38 points. We'd be able to enjoy our weekend in Weymouth without any pressure with that total.

Is this the same "all-knowing one" who is always asking us main stand regulars who delivered the pass that set up the goal....or, indeed, who actually scored the goal?!

The euphoria generated by Shotton's equaliser must have caused me to hallucinate.
Or else my wife spiked the coconut macaroons we devoured at half-time...
