We seem to be releasing friendlies in chronological order. Saturday 23rd next? Surely a home one now?

Away to barnton 23rd of July, according to futbology anyway

Well that's a shocker

Call me impatient, but I hope the bigger names start emerging soon.

We have relationships with the likes of Crewe, Stoke etc - or maybe a Stockport / Salford would provide a real stern test of where we are.

As I’ve said elsewhere, we will most likely be playing the likes of Stockport and a whole host of other clubs on a regular Basis on Wednesday mornings etc. We need to remember our world had changed, we have entered a different realm. The games against nwcl and unibond outfits will be for trialists and fitness. I’m
More than happy for our team to prepare behind the closed doors at Egerton or carrington or wherever against decent opponents. We are a full time football team and club now. We don’t get together twice a week for an hour

Very valid point, we still need to give these new lads the chance to get used to their surroundings at Moss Lane though.

Didn't someone say that we were playing barnton away on that date? Has that been changed or is it a second double header?
Title: Re: PSF

It’ll be another double header

Perhaps it might be reserves and trialists at barnton and first team squad at the JDS vs County? I suppose it will become clearer if we get the ko time for the barnton match. It hasn't been announced at all as yet as far as I can see.

I’d think the former yes. All due respect to Barnton we don’t want our first team
Playing a NW Counties Division 1 side two weeks before the Conference Season starts.

So the conference season kicks off on the 6th of August then?

I think that's two weeks earlier than last year.
I'm sure we kicked off with the win at Torquay on my birthday last year! (21st) 😉

I can only assume we've got a shedload of trialists lined up, and that we intend to turn out reserves and Academy players. Even if we turned up with only three substitutes we would need 42 players !

I'm up for it if you are Ray 👍
I'll be okay using my walking stick on the pitch won't I?
Also, do they still sell Dubbin? I think my boots will need some badly! 😂😂

PS. I've worked out we've got over 200 years of experience between the three of us!! 😜🤯

Any chance fixtures could get added to the website to the fixture tab? I know Brian and John often read here

Whilst we're (almost) on the subject, could the announcements on twitter (eg about the new patrons scheme) be released on the official club site too so luddites such as myself who don't deal with twitter, Facebook etc can access them?
At the moment I'm only getting the updates from Mrs S and her twitter thingy.

Think announcements should be made simultaneously (or a near as possible) on all platforms.

I noticed that it was briefly added to the website but then quickly removed a few nights ago!

Would it be too far-fetched to simply reverse the fixture?

I suspect that our own pitch won't be ready - look how the PSF's have been arranged so that we don't play at home until late July.

I think it's just to grade the games progressively tougher. And of course we play the lower league teams away and the bigger ones at home.

Great golf course in Largs fella. We were booked to play there at the end of last month but we both got Covid whilst up in the Highlands so had to cut our hollybob short ..

May go back to Ayrshire later this year.

Hope you can make it back!

I can also recommend Millport Golf Club; Nick Faldo loved it but said you need one leg longer than the other!
