Title: Annual outing to Shawe View
Post by: One Foot in the Grave on May 30, 2022, 06:05:47 PM
Friendly at Trafford announced : Tuesday July 12th, 7.45 kick off.

I'm hoping we'll soon hear news of more taxing friendly fixtures....

Much earlier on in the schedule (when we usually still are playing Abbey Hay etc. is interesting.

EFL starting early probably wont help

I'd love to go to that one, but the ferry sailing times aren't exactly helpful, and I wouldn't consider flying from Manchester in the current chaos.

Isle of Man is a domestic flight, not sure the same would apply as per continental and international flights.

You only miss out on arrival passport control for domestic flights. All the other nonsense is still possible.

You’ll easily be at the bowl for kick off getting that Saturday morning ferry, it’s only up the road
From the port

For those debating the ferry from Liverpool; it was a really easy journey. Little effort to get on the boat, terminal right in Douglas.

The ground is a decent little setup and easy enough by taxi.

Earliest I can get to Liverpool is 10:19 on the Saturday. Ferry leaves from pier head at 11:15, anyone been on ferry before and know how long before departure I’d realistically have to arrive at terminal? Website says 25 mins

Bording closes at 10:50 last time I went it was very laid back. It’s. Only a short walk from lime street to pier head. And there’s plenty of black cabs outside the station

You can walk to ground in 25 mins also, it’s just up hill

Just booked an apartment for 4 for us for £220. It'd have been better if the club had given us a little longer, as it looks slim pickings!

Just a ferry to grab
